foxie48 the UK Government grants export licenses to private companies who in turn supply components for Israeli planes.
This makes up approximately 1-2% of Israeli weaponry/arms imports.
These licenses are reviewed at regular intervals.
Would the private companies be held to account or the Government?
No idea but no doubt these are things that will be discussed in the media should the request for arrest warrants be upheld.
I think it will be the government as they grant the export licence.
Policy on that
The UK government controls the export of military equipment, including firearms, and requires a license from the government to export controlled goods to other countries. Controlled goods include firearms, their parts, components, accessories, ammunition, software, and technology. The government assesses applications against its export guidelines, which prohibit sales when the items might be used for internal repression, serious violations of international humanitarian law, or to provoke or prolong armed conflicts.
