Yes, people may die as a result of their actions but sometimes a stand just has to be made otherwise nothing will ever change. Putin can't kill the people's spirit, and this is what he fears most.

Today must be incredibly tormenting for her as she and her daughters cannot attend the funeral in Moscow....am watching the coverage and hope she is relieved and takes some comfort in the fact that thousands of people have shown their support to honour her husband's memory by attending the burial.

It’s impressive that so many men and women of all generations have come out for Alexei Navalny’s funeral today. He and his family made an enormous sacrifice , and then they were forced to fight for the right to a dignified farewell. There were so many ordinary Russians there to honour them all , and to offer a pure, simple and powerful message .
