OS has admitted lying! He knows nothing of our Royals! Total disgrace as are his publishers and all the book shops stocking his trash!
What has happened to our judiciary?
Last three letters contd - 2026
Good Morning Thursday 3rd September 2026
So in the last week Prince Harry has been ordered to pay court costs of £50,000 and within a few days, been awarded damages of around £130,000.
Interesting times indeed.
OS has admitted lying! He knows nothing of our Royals! Total disgrace as are his publishers and all the book shops stocking his trash!
What has happened to our judiciary?
Just about everything we think we know about the Royal Family has been coloured by the press and their PR. We have no idea how awful or good any of them are really. What it does make me think is that it is a good thing that a lot of GN won't be on a jury. They've made up their mind regardless of the evidence.
I expect all of us would have difficulty remembering the finer details of our teens. Research shows that our memories are not that reliable so if people get things wrong, it doesn't necessarily make them liars.
Yes, Harry does go on and on doesn't he Glorianny.
So he's just following in daddy's footsteps
Weird excuse.
If you know somethings’s wrong, do you blame the fact that you’re doing it on someone else?
I agree I love cheese, I hope the Daily Mail is also exposed.

Well two wrongs don't make a right Gorianny; never have done and never will.
But some wrongs are apparently forgiven and forgotten and others are just gone on and on about.
I can recall anyone saying they enjoy being unpleasant about
Harry
I hope that this victory for Prince Harry and others will be the beginning of the end for the shameful practise of phone hacking for gossip.
Hopefully the Daily mail will be next to be exposed. All good luck to him and Elton John and the others that have sufffered at the hands of gossip press.
I know many of you enjoy being unpleasant about him but there really was no need in this case, if indeed there ever is.
Thankfully his brother doesn’t
Well two wrongs don't make a right Gorianny; never have done and never will.
Who was this written about?
the Prince and the Princess complain loudly about the intrusive nature of the press, although it quickly becomes clear that both of them and their friends have further fanned the flames of controversy by leaking information to reporters, including the authors of these two books. Indeed, some of the most embarrassing material in "The Prince of Wales" comes from the Prince himself. One of his diary entries, made during a tour of duty in the Navy, reads as follows: "I tried to tickle a belly-dancer last night at a hotel where we were having dinner! She came up to me and wobbled everything at me and so I ran my fingers up her tummy (rather hot and sticky!) and she hit me on the head with her castanets! I think she rather liked it . . .!"
It wasn't Harry.
It was his mummy and daddy.
So let's be clear he was born into a family which used the press. Both his parents collaborated with writers, revealing intimate details of their lives, and castigating each other. So he's just following in daddy's footsteps.
Anniebach
Yes, but there has been praised for Harry on this thread, you didn’t criticise that
I’m not pro Harry Anniebach, I just think talking about his personal behaviour is not relevant on a thread that is about these court cases, that’s all.
Did William not receive a large sum for the same actions as Harry ?
Harry bashing is something many seem to get pleasure from. Whether he’s a ‘nice person’ or not is irrelevant. He was hacked and vilified in the mirror/mail etc. they seemed determined to polarise him as bad son with William as good son. That continued with their wives. Whatever people believe, this is a family in distress. Estrangement hurts everyone involved

Criticism of a liar who tells the world his brother has been circumcised is ‘bashing him’
It is when the thread is about the security libel case and phone hacking Anniebach, it may not be on a thread which is about Harry personally.
Yes and no eazybee. This is a pretty unbiased account of the implications for Mirror Group from Reuters.

It’s not just about Harry, by any means. The implications for the other tabloid press who are also accused of phone hacking are significant, this is in a sense a pathfinder claim.
Some people obviously have been influenced by the scurrilous press whose main aim is to sell papers, printing sensationalised stories. Harry = bad whatever he does seems to be the belief of many.

Whether you think PH invades others privacies or not isn’t what this case was about, some people seem to miss that point. PH didn’t hack anyone’s phones or hound anyone’s friends or jump out with a battery of cameras in order to sell papers.
Absolutely. People seem determined to cast Harry as the villain regardless of the very serious press misdemeanours. I’m far more interested in taking about the implications of this case on other phone hacking claims than I am on the bashing Harry theme, but it seems very few people want to discuss that.
I'm inclined to agree with this.
Thank you for explaining in layman's terms how these things work Germanshepherdsmum. I don't know enough to comment, and Harry's past behaviour is obviously irrelevant here, so I'll just read quietly.
I thought that phone hacking had been exposed and dealt with in some part some years ago.. It is a horrible thing to do and I make no case for the papers using it.
Harry, I think, is doing this partly because he thinks of himself as the caped crusader, and partly because he knows it will distress older more conservative branches of the royal family, particularly his father; I think the last royal to appear in the witness box in a court case was about 120 years ago, but I may be wrong.

Harry is not on trial, does not change the fact he has no respect for privacy for anyone except himself.
In my opinion, Prince Harry is not a nice person, and has repeatedly shown himself to be not a nice person. He has misbehaved for years and had an easy time of it because of who he is. However, Harry was not on trial in this case.
GSM will know, but the difference here I think, is because this was a civil case, not a criminal case, so therefore the judge, or sometimes it’s a panel of three judges, will decide if the law has, on the balance of probabilities, been broken.
