Kandinsky
Yes, it was a very childish thing to say & I’m sure he regrets it.
But it isn’t as serious as other things that are happening in the news.
This thread has hundreds of posts,
so many people wanting to talk about LF not wanting to shag someone.
A few days ago a 15 year old girl was stabbed to death on her way to school by a 17 year old male.
Where’s the outcry?
Where’s the thread with 100’s of posts?
Whatever we discuss - there will always be something else that is more serious than what we are talking about at that moment.
There is no check-list that we have to consult to decide which topic or event has more weight than other - people post spontaneously.
Fox's outburst is being debated because it's very much a public matter - there are aspects to discuss.
There is little to discuss about the stabbing of yet another young person - it's not a 'debatable' matter, because everyone recognises the horror of it. Until we know the details - the boy is in custody - what can we say, unless you want pages and pages of speculation (which is usually discouraged on social media when someone is in custody and awaiting a charge).
I could write reams and reams about knife-crime among young people and why I think it's proliferating, and why very little appears to be being done to deal with it, but I can't speculate on this particular case, and neither can anyone else - which is possibly why there's no thread about it.
