Yes and tbh I suspect that those very concerned are panicking about all governments slow reaction to the existential disaster that they see facing the earth.
Every year brings more and more climate disasters, I would guess that their attitude is sod what people think, we will do everything in our power to save the earth from extinction, and some are doing it peacefully others are making a bloody nuisance of themselves. But their aim is the same.
I don’t agree with what they’re doing. But, hey, since when did those in power listen to or act on peaceful protest? The peaceful protests I’ve been on have rarely made the news and, when they did they downplayed the numbers involved. I must admit, though, that I was impressed with that guy who’s helping to fund them who was on QT when he said that the weather had disrupted more of Wimbledon than their protest. It did make me think.
