this certainly has NOT gone away. And NO, this is not libel either.
What did you you think you would have by your current age that you don't?
Govt announces Ukrainian style scheme to bring thousands more migrants to UK
At last, a Dispatches special investigating Johnson’s relationship with Lebedev and his father which points out he was the first PM to overrule intelligence advice and ignored the intelligence services advice relating to national security. Why has this been so long in coming? No wonder his supporters wanted rid of Ch4.

Question Time has never ever in its entire history been balanced or impartial.
Is BBC Question Time’s audience producer really a fascist?
www.opendemocracy.net/en/ourbeeb/is-question-time-s-audience-producer-really-fascist/
There is a cover up about this in the general media. Even Question Time didn’t have any reference to it. I find this kind of blanket quite sinister.
The Tories have made an awful mess. It was Churchill who promoted the idea of a closer relationship with Europe. Brexit has caused serious damage to the economy.
Rory Stewart is a loss to democracy.
Dorries and ReeceMogg - it’s depressing to accept the tories prefer them and LizTruss to anyone with integrity

Just listening to The Rest Is Politics and Johnson/Lebedev.
Imo the stupidest thing the Tories ever did was to get rid of Rory Stewart. I so admire his integrity.Well, they also got rid of Dominic Grieve and would have got rid of Ken Clark if he wasn’t retiring anyway. But hey, we ended up with Dorries and Rees Mogg on the front benches. Aren’t we lucky?
I see Dominic Grieve has become a deputy head of a European thing.
Another someone with integrity. Of course if you think about it they could not have possibly served under Johnson. I mean who would!!

And, when it comes to things like this Rory has in depth knowledge of protocol. And can’t be accused of Tory bashing.
James 0’Brian was on about the fact that 12 newspapers were apparently ignoring the Dispatch programme whereas Keir Starmer photographed eating a legal curry had been all over them.
The undermining of our democracy by politicians having close associations with the owners and editors of newspapers in order to achieve their support is an absolute disgrace. Of course they should be called out but how can that happen when newspapers manipulate the news for gratification of those same politicians. We used to believe that we could be assured of being told the truth and that there were other countries less fortunate. Those beliefs are long gone. The Daily Mail was backing Johnson to the hilt as they splurged their lies about Brexit on a daily basis leading to the self harm that is so evident at the present time.
Dorris certainly pressed to sell Channel 4 to the private sector when she was Culture Secretary (a bizarre appointment). Its role as a public service broadcaster would then have been subject to commercial pressures. Dorris is a BoJo supporter. As soon as Dorris left the job the proposal was ditched.

I think that Johnson’s unprofessional behaviour over the years has led to the electorate being desensitised to bad ( and dangerous) behaviour in the people who govern this country. Thankfully, with so many people, especially young people, listening to The Rest is Politics that attitude might begin to change.
It’s interesting this excellent documentary hasn’t led to the Daily Mail doing one if the things it often does well - investigative jounalism
It's still available on 4 and everyone should watch it.
I’m half way through watching Dispatches. Its chilling, leaving no doubt something ‘strange’ went on in Johnson’s visit and weekend stay at a decadent weekend party at Lebedov’s Italian villa
The foreign secretary with no security in 2018.
This has not been a steady decline. It accelerated in 2015. The last eight years have been dogged by chaos, incompetence and corruption.
Agree Dickens - worryingly.

I have to agree with those who are seriously concerned about the increasingly chaotic state of our society, as in virtually every area we are seeing a gradual breakdown of much that we perhaps took for granted in the past. If this decline continues unchecked, conditions may become ripe for the emergence of an Autocratic leader, who will step forward, probably scapegoating certain groups who will be blamed for our demise, and offering an escape from the current chaos via an ordered, strictly disciplined regime, in which we will be expected to passively exchange certain freedoms for economic and material gains. That's exactly what happened in Germany in the 30's, when Hitler offered a desperate population "order to replace disorder", a formula which they were vulnerable enough to readily accept. Worrying times.

Very perceptive.
It's already happening isn't it?
As Aesop allegedly said, "united we stand, divided we fall".
The trick for a would-be autocratic government is to unite the public in its favour, but first they have to divide it to highlight the scapegoat... the trick for the public is to recognise that that is what it is doing - and unite against it.
But it's already too late. We have our scapegoats. Immigrants, 'lefties' and Remainers - the last two often being lumped together though factually incorrect.
I think we are well on the way towards autocracy unless the younger generation can see the wood against the trees and put a stop to the process.
I fear we are in that area NanaDana. Braverman and this government offering us order to replace disorder by sending asylum seekers to Rwanda. And, as so many posters have pointed out, little in the press about Johnson and Lebedev

Be kind. Not everyone understands experts. Some people even watch and believe GB News.....yes! Really! About a hundred or so at times.

And are you happy that the Russian backed Brexit project has inflicted untold damage on our country?

No comment on that, and probably this is the wrong thread for me to comment on, but getting us out of the European Union makes him, to me, the best prime minister since Churchill. Well done Boris.
So you're very happy about the fact that Johnson has probably been a Russian asset for at least the last decade?

I think Churchill will be turning in his grave at what Johnson has done…
