If Disney has been involved in the abuse of vulnerable women and children I wouldnt support them either. To be fair I dont give money to Disney so am in the clear even if they do.
Revised heart attack definitions which affect women
Iâm sure I am not the only person whoâs read this and been shocked đł

Thankfully I stopped supporting Oxfam years ago after the Haiti abuse broke. As they probably rely on my generation to volunteer in their shops perhaps this might make some people think again.

I don't care about trans inclusivity - in fact I am in favour of it - but I draw the line at anything that puts trans rights over women's rights, as that is anti-feminist.

Helpful list of a few other organisations that have signed up as trans inclusive for people to also boycott:
Disney
Microsoft
BP
Sky
Amazon
Bupa
British gas
EDF
NHS
Visa
Save the Children

There's being trans inclusive, and there is being female exclusive, and anyone who bans a game because it is about women falls into the latter category.

Then it sounds like there are huge amounts of dedicated people in that organisation absolutely committed to helping others...
As long as issues higher up are being resolved then they deserve support?
Unless we are silencing Oxfam on trans issues by boycotting and shutting down every store?
Unless we are silencing Oxfam on trans issues by boycotting and shutting down every store?
We are not silencing anyone. OXFAM are silencing women who don't accept that trans women are biological women.
It's a right to boycott. But at least we're not standing outside OXFAM outlets with placards demanding violent retribution against anyone who doesn't agree with us.
I donât agree with the premise that support for one minority negates the ill treatment of other vulnerable groups.
Abuse is abuse regardless of the positive treatment of some others. It is not more acceptable because some good is done in other areas
To suggest it is, is truly discriminatory.

Your list.
Itâs all just wallpapering.
I know that Disney gave a donation of $ 106 million to the Friends of Ron DeSantis.

Iâd certainly boycott say BUPA if they were proved to have forced women to prostitute themselves in order to get a life saving operation for themselves or their children.
I would think most people would.
Is that the comparison that is being made?
Well I suspect VioletSky wouldn't. She wouldn't boycott Oxfam after its representatives sexually abused poor women of colour in other countries.
I don't use at least 6 or 7 of those companies anyway, nothing to do with if they really believe TWAW.
But have any of the organisations on your list shared such a cruel cartoon, demonising a woman who uses her fame and fortune to support vulnerable women VS, and despite the threats made against her is still brave enough to stand up for all women? No I didn't think so.
Amazon or BP or British Gas claimed to support people dying starvation?
Have any of those companies said trans rights override the rights of females? Have any of them denied females their right to safe spaces?
Have any of them attacked or threatened females the way TRA do?
Does trans-inclusive, in your world VS, mean they do any of those things?
Shame you canât answer those questions . . . again.
Although at least one of those companies, doesnât deny females the right to safe spaces. Itâs part of their inclusivity.
Iâd certainly boycott say BUPA if they were proved to have forced women to prostitute themselves in order to get a life saving operation for themselves or their children.

Really VS?
So they all lie as well.
Woman -adult human female.
Thanks for the information.
Every one of those organisations believe TWAW
Like me
That's what trans inclusive means

Bit like the strangely popular Posie Parker saying "Every woman who stands in our way will be annihilated"
Now charities too
Actually, VSâs posts would have been the biggest impetus for me to drop OXFAM if I hadnât already done so, from the casual âI bought a dress??, to the wrongly implied ânobody likes trans except meâ.

Apart from Save the Children, are any of then focussed on famine and disaster relief?
I can understand Save the Children as its focus is on all children, not on famine relief.

Dangerous to assume VS I'm also assuming any wrongdoers have been let go did you read the BBC link I gave? Nothing had changed during the whole time they had been banned from applying for government grant. Why assume anything has changed now? As Lathyrus says, Workers in the organisation that have tried âwhistleblowingâ on what was happening report bullying, intimidation and dismissal.
Yes they banned a game featuring inspirational women but not transwomen so it didn't align with their values. I think JKR was the icing on the cake for them. When you say you've banned JKR from your house do you mean the actual person or just her books? Rather dictatorial and bigoted in my view.
I assumed there would be no more afternoon teas or suppers for Joanne chez MaisonSky, Rosie51
I could have misunderstood.
As long as issues higher up are being resolved then they deserve support?
Most volunteers who work in Oxfam shops probably do so because they want to help others, not for any specific loyalty to the organisation itself.
Their skills will be transferable and welcome in other organisations.
Smileless2012
Is this another example of the rights of trans women superseding those of natal women?
Oh yes, of course.
Some peoples' ideas about a new world.
A small part of installing the new pecking order, amongst other things.

I sincerely hope that any organisation that condoned the sexual bullying and harassment of vulnerable women as an accepted part of Aid Work will be annihilated.
I really do.

I had removed Oxfam from my donations list long before the Charities Commission produced their damning report into the Haiti sex scandal in 2018. This recent debacle just proves yet again how seriously out of touch Oxfam are with the public mood on so many issues, and how they have lost focus on what they were founded to achieve. How can demonising people such as JKR serve any charitable purpose on any level? And how can the agenda they have embraced possibly serve female rights?

They banned a game?
Is this worse than the other stuff? I'm not sure why it's a big deal
I've banned JKR from my house
No, Of course banning a game isnât worse than than intimidating and sexually exploiting women in disaster struck countries. Forcing them to trade their bodies for food to feed their children.
I do wonder what would need to be bad enough for supporters to feel they could no longer align themselves with Oxfam?
