I truly believe women are powerful and will say again that we should be building each other up and not tearing each other down and I'm all for any branch of feminism (doesn't have to be intersectional) that loves and supports all women

Except for abusive women and all the harm they cause

They deserve nothing from any of us

I have pointed that out before Wyllow but I wasn't believed

That the majority of trans women had never even asked to go to women's prisons

But most trans women do care about women which makes it all that bit more heartbreaking in reality that so many women do not reciprocate, won't help find solutions, won't help find services etc

As I stated up thread, no one who has committed sexual or abuse offences by women should go near a womens prison, but we continue to use this. but I was pretty sure legislation had been updated on this to make it so, and it has:

I presume it is to give judges the back up to act accordingly.

Make a comment, which is seemingly innocuous, but meant to provoke. Wait for a response and then dismiss it with a laughing emoji. Or a 'LOL'. Typical passive-aggressive stratagem.

Then when commenters show their frustration - accuse them of being rude

GrannyGravy, yes you’re correct. I made a similar point in response to Glory’s post yesterday about boys dressing as bar girls in the Wild West, because of the shortage of women. Glory saw this as an example of cross dressing. I suggested the risk of sexual exploitation, as happened with cabin boys on ships during the same period

DH has had further thoughts, IAM64, and is now pondering whether EdDavey might be married to a LadyBoy such as those we saw on holiday in Thailand. That might be why he thinks women can have a penis.

The Ladyboy’s in Thailand situation is more complex.

In the villages the eldest child has always been sent to earn money, if it was a girl it was bar work with extras in resorts like Pattaya.

This moved on to tapping into the alternative sex trade and the emergence of ladyboys

Both of the above earn well off of the sex tourists and send their earnings back to their families in the villages.

Not seen as exploitation in Thailand, just supporting your family and doing what is expected…

Late to the party. I told my DH that Ed Davey says women can absolutely have a penis and DH’s immediate reply was ‘ has his wife got one?’ Makes you wonder doesn’t it.

I told my husband that some might accept a women having a penis - response: "let me know if you decide such, I'll move out."

Here we go, another passive aggressive post that seeks to demean posters you disagree with and appear to see yourself as superior to,

Going back a few pages if I may, to the women in prison concern. The evidence is incontrovertible. The women’s prison population has a majority of prisoners who have experienced extensive abuse, both in childhood and adult life. The main perpetrators of the abuse have been men. The extent of mental health problems in the women’s prisons is extensive. Yes I know, male prisoners have mh health problems but in the prison population non violent, drug / alcohol addicted women who shop lift to feed addiction/their children stand out.
Most of those women pose no threat to society and imo would do better if our government was prepared to invest in good alternatives to custody.

... so why introduce the matter? I'm sure most of us are already aware of it, but I'm not sure of its relevance to what we're discussing.

Lesbians, like any other individual, are quite free to determine who they have sex with - and how and when, and I don't think anyone would question that. Or even be overly interested. Or shouldn't be, anyway.

The only relevance is when lesbians are accused of being transphobic because they don't want to have sex with a trans woman with a penis. Choice of sexual partners for lesbians - and anyone else - is entirely a private and personal matter... no-one should have to justify or explain why they don't want to have sex with someone.

None of anyone’s business unless the TIM is trying to force penetration on someone who doesn’t want it because they don’t want sex with a male, as mentioned earlier on this thread.

I support all women. Way to go. But, I don't support biological men that want to invade female spaces.

Me too - that is why I feel so strongly about having them put at risk by the trans lobby.
