Well, yes. Assuming things never really helps. It all becomes personal.

It's better to just debate the subject. Either back it up with personal experience (for those that want to share), or back it up, with a link, with something that has happened.

Other than that, it's just personal opinion, which is fine, but doesn't add much to anything.😗

Well actually it is. Women need a word which exclusively describes and defines an adult human female, and that word has been 'woman'. When the word 'woman' no longer means that exclusive sex class then it's meaningless. If someone talks to you about their ewes (I saw on the other thread you quite fancied having some sheep as lawnmowers ) then you would expect some adult female sheep. Same as if they talk about cows you'll expect an adult female cow not a bull with full tackle. Anybody who wants to keep birds for their eggs wouldn't have much success if they bought 6 cockerels instead of 6 hens. Words have to have distinct meaning. If someone with a penis can be called 'woman' then it no longer serves its purpose, and I don't remember the vote for changing its meaning.

Perhaps you could give some examples VS because I've been following this thread from the beginning and seen nothing.

If you have seen nothing that disrespects trans people you are more rubbish at keeping up with threads than I am Smileless

Again where is the disrespect? I've seen nothing that disrespects trans. Voicing ones concerns the way they're voiced here is not disrespectful.

The title of this thread is 'Can a woman have a penis?' The majority say no and have explained why. If anyone believes they can they are free to do the same.

Yes I do see reasonableness Glorianny and the reluctance to engage with reality doesn't come from those voicing their concerns, which I think you've referred too as scaremongering.

I think what's being referred too with regard to Lol was posted yesterday VS. At 18.22 I posted "The use of vibrators has nothing to do with this discussion and its introduction smacks of desperation". Mollygo quoted that post @ 18.28 and posted "Yes".

That was immediately followed by your post @ 18.38 of "Lol".

The biggest problem with these threads is that trans people are being stereotyped

I've argued long and hard that a criminal should not alter the image of all trans people for that reason

Now we have a statistic shared from a verifiable source that most trans women don't ask to go to female prisons

People have anecdotally said that trans women in their experience agree with many issues as do their allies as I have repeatedly said

So logically what are we left with?
Thread after thread that are disrespectful to people who for the most part aren't disrespectful to us

No Glorianny these threads are here to discuss trans gender issues. To enable people to talk about their concerns if they have any.

There's plenty of reasonableness here but I agree, there's also the same old rubbish too. If anyone's going to ignore a point of view and/or refuse to engage then I really can't see the point in them taking part in the discussion.

I don't.
I see a lot of scaremongering.
I see the same events brought up time and time again.
I see a reluctance to engage with reality, probably because it isn't sensational enough.

One's personal experience of trans women by it's very nature is simply that, personal.

I have personal experience of knowing a trans woman but that doesn't mean I'm blind to what can and does happen especially with TRA's and neither is she, even though she finds their actions and demands abhorrent.

It was VS who brought dildos into the discussion, as though the fact that someone might enjoy sex with one should be happy with a penis - ironically the very line spun by the trans woman who frightened my friend 🙄. Hilarious.

Everyone else was saying that it was up to the individual whether they consented to sex or not, and if so whether they preferred to do it with a man or a woman - not someone who 'felt' he was a woman but had a man's body.

Have you ever considered that some of us have lives and are not as obsessed with this subject as many of you are? So answering questions isn't a priority. Especially as most of you will ignore the answers and continue with your preconceptions anyway.

Most of us do have lives, but wish to retain our previously held rights - the two are not mutually exclusive.

Slightly off track but something that puzzles me. If a man wants to become a woman, why would he want to have sex with a woman using his penis? I would have thought a man wanting to be a woman would reject the idea of having a penis as being the most obvious sign of being not being a woman.

How can those who commit rape whilst transitioning possibly be considered a woman under any circumstances.

Logically because she has a partner who enjoys it and she enjoys sex, for all the reasons we enjoy sex.
