Chamberlain tried for appeasement in 1938, and Hitler took it as a sign of weakness and as a green light for his mad, expansionist ambitions. We have another megalomaniac flexing his muscles right now, although it has all gone rather pear-shaped for him, and please God, his days may be numbered. That's exactly why NATO must now remain stronger than ever, and must welcome all countries such as Finland who share borders with Russia, and fear potential invasion. Putin should have been stopped back in 2014 when his forces rolled into Crimea. We're paying for that now, but have hopefully learned our lesson. We must continue to support a free Ukraine, and help them to inflict a convincing defeat on their invaders.
