I was the step child of a much loved stepfather. Both he and his family treated me exactly as if I had been their own flesh and blood. Only step children? Ouch! I don't think anyone thought that of me. He and my mother were married in Church as my mother was widowed, and a pretty pale blue suit and my stepfathers demob suit were the order of the day. White brides were for first time round only! As I understand it, the Anglican Church didn't allow remarriage for a divorced person until 2002, and then only at the discretion of the Priest officiating. Other denominations were much more flexible much earlier than this. Princess Anne had a Church wedding in Scotland in 1992. I'm really looking forward to the Coronation too Dottynan , I just remember the late Queens, and I'm sure this one won't disappoint.
