The BBC has reportedly delayed a documentary on Jimmy Saville due this year until 2024 because of 'sensitivities'.

One can't help but wonder what might be sensitive about publishing it this year...

I can think of the insensitivity of publishing anything about Jimmy Savile at any time. Evidently you feel his behaviour needs resurrecting, especially if you can link it to your dislike of the RF.

Charles could have married Camilla in church after Diana died but for one little problem. The C of E accepts second marriages after divorce but not usually if the relationship began before or contributed to the divorce. (So that was out!)
It's all a bit of a joke isn't it?
I mean in 1953 A young woman making her vows to God in a church she sincerely believed in was touching.
In 2023 an old man making vows and being anointed, along with the woman he had a long term affair with, watched by his children, her children, his grandchildren and her grandchildren, some of whom won't be speaking, is the stuff of soaps and Hollywood. I just wish Hollywood was paying for it.

I don't really care what they do. I think they are happy. I do resent public money being used to crown one very rich man and his second wife.
I also think if you buy into the whole idea of God and Christianity you should at least look carefully and examine what you are doing, particularly if you are head of a church whose members don't all approve of it.

I think they should all go.
But if they aren't going to I think he should examine his position carefully and perhps skip the anointing bit certaily for Camilla and possibly for him too.

Actually Gsm I have pretty strong moral standards. I don't think you have to be religious to think that vows are serious things .

The anointing with holy oil is a religious aspect of the ceremony. I have strong moral standards too but I also have sympathy and compassion.

They’d have been divorced. Would Glorianny or any GNs, whether in that position or not, advocate or insist on inviting the divorced partner to any future celebrations for either of the divorced partners, just because the divorced partner is the parent of children from pre divorce?
