Nicola Bulley 45y Old mum of 2 little girls missing from River Wyre area since last Friday morning at 9:15am walking her dog, Willow.

It will have to be part of what they are thinking, but quite rightly they would not say so.

It seems there is just 30 minutes unaccounted for between someone seeing her and someone finding her dog and phone. Very strange and very sad.

It's just to easy to slip, lose your footing and then fall in. I know that only too well and the police believe that is what happened.
Nicola was wearing heavy clothing and wellingtons.

Other speculation is just cruel. The family is suffering enough without that.

People go missing all the time: even youngsters. So I never understand how the police seem to know straight away if it’s a situation where maximum publicity is needed asap.

Veejay you don’t always have to skid in maybe she overreached to grab the ball from going in or something similar and fell in She had heavy clothing and wellies on and it’s a fast flowing river to the sea

it is an awful tragedy if she fell, water is so dangerous and I think we are all guilty of taking for granted how powerful it is - whether rivers or sea.

There was no ball, that has been confirmed by the family. The real question is, why she took the dogs harness off when, again apparently, she always kept it on while out for a walk. Perhaps there was an issue with the dog by the edge of the river bank and she lost her balance? Having lived by the Thames for many years I fully understand that rivers are very dangerous particularly in winter, but this lady would have been well aware of that too. What a dreadful thing, lets hope there are some answers very soon.

There’s one exit not covered by CCTV cameras. Police have appealed for info from anyone in that vicinity.

I wondered about the dog's harness as well Jaberwok it was not usual for her to remove it.
I hope this is resolved soon, it must be hell for the family wondering what has happened.

I can’t imagine how her loved ones are coping. To lose her in such strange circumstances with amateur detectives reaching conclusions without the information the police have from their thorough investigations

This poor, distraught family. And those 2 little girls missing their mummy. Each time I switch on the tv or log onto news I’m hoping for good news but with each passing day it becomes more of a worry for her family and friends.

Yesterday morning at 8:30am I looked at the clock and thought to myself ‘this time last week Nicola was just dropping her children off at school’. It made me so sad.

I keep thinking of her family. They seem so loving and close. Waiting for news must just be agony for them.

There seems to be different views about the harness I read where she did take it off the dog when he was out for a long run.
I expect there are many conflicting ideas and thoughts
The poor, poor children and the rest of the family
It’s the ‘not knowing’ that’s the worst part of it all The no answers no body to grieve, the long long hours of wondering and thinking and going over and over all the what ifs.

It is a desperately sad situation for all concerned. I expect her partner is not daring to think the worst. Poor man. All the family’s focus is probably on those little girls missing mum. As a mother of two daughters myself, I’d be beside myself and I’m certain they are too. Poor little family. Poor Nicola.

I reported two unrelated posts yesterday morning ; one including scare mongering disinformation about a common medication and another insulting posters, but they are still up.

I sincerely hope for the sake of the family, that this won’t be like the Trevaline Evans case, thirteen years ago, when no answer was found, but please, no more distasteful remarks, quite unnecessary and unpleasant.

I don't think the thread should be deleted because the majority of comments are centered around peoples' concern and bewilderment as to how it happened.
Speculation, especially about the family dynamics, however, is something different and yes, that comment should be deleted.
