Is your MP seen in your local community

Ours lives locally, but we don’t see much of him but he is suppose to be active in getting our railway line, helped some people with cladding and did something with special education. Think that’s it but I will never vote for him he is Liam Fox

Mine is Caroline Lucas, she is very accessible, lives here and is often at local events... she's helpful and friendly..

Ours IS Matt Hancock so could see him every night!. Seen him once to unveil the village sign but he wasn’t chatting or available to speak to. I doubt he will stand again.

Mine is see frequently in the local Town, she a popular famale Tory MP.
Few miles south, the local MP for that area is a very prominent female Tory MP often see in Tesco's in the local High Street, chatting to everyone.

No, mine is a chocolate teapot. She lives in Cardiff, and only ventures out to the sticks of her rural constituency for TV opportunities. We’ve been used to Lib Dem MPs who lived here, were at local events and had their finger on the pulse until the last election when Ms Tory got elected.

Nope never seen sight or sound of our tory mp since his arrival, his office is always closed !

Our Red Wall tory MP (majority 2,000+) gets himself on the front page of the local papers at every opportunity. He's busied himself with getting money poured into a defunct railway line near to us which was attempted to be re-opened by volunteers some 10 - 15 years ago. They had a regular train service running and tried running 'specials' but it never really succeeded. I feel that this attempt is just pouring money down an open drain to impress the locals.

I haven't noticed any improvement to people's lives as a result...

I trust he'll be gone after the next GE.

We saw our MP sitting with a coffee outside a cafe here recently. Very active in our Constituency. He lives locally. He is Conservative and has a Cabinet post.

I used to, it was David Amess.
His successor is a different kettle of fish.

If only Matt Hancock was our MP. We could have seen him every day for the past 2 weeks.

He's (still) the MP for a neighbouring constituency. Apparently, he used to be around quite a lot - in pubs and at horsey events. I know people who think he's very sociable - bit like he appears on TV.

Mine is Labour, and has a 23,000 majority so why should he be bothered? When we had a local newspaper I saw his face on the front of it. He certainly does not go out and about. Me, I and myself springs to mind.

Mine is Conservative and has a majority of 27,594. The only reason I know she actually exists is because I sometimes see her on TV. When she was selected, she promised the local Conservatives she would move to the area ... ahem!

Ours is quite often seen at local events and holds regular surgeries. He was very helpful and quick to respond when we emailed him with a concern.

Our MP is very active and hard working, sends out a weekly newsletter with all her doings, where she’ll be and when, asking us for our views and for our participation.
She holds a regular ‘pint and policy’ get together so that she can listen to us, her constituents.
She has just started a ‘knock and drop’, where locals are kept up to date with what’s occurring.
I admit I was dismayed when she was flown in from London for the 2019 election to our very Welsh area and surprised when she won the seat. She moved here, is learning the language and has proved to be an amazing MP.

Not sure about my current MP (the only Labour MP in Scotland) but my previous SNP MP in Glasgow worked half the week in London, flying down on Sunday evening and returning on Wednesday evening unless she has extra business down there. She has a young family, well, not so young now the two girls are teenagers (they attend the Glasgow Gaelic-medium high school), but both girls are gymnasts and I know she spends quite a bit of the weekend ferrying them around competitions. She has strong links with Barra in the Western Isles and the family tends to spend the parliamentary breaks up there.

A lot of mostly younger people in her constituency know her as their well-liked former physics teacher before she accidentally got swept up into Parliament in the 2015 SNP landslide. I'm not sure she's seen a lot in the street in her constituency but she is known as a hard-worker.

Ours is both seen locally and on occasion joining in the debates in Parliament. We have an issue of a quarry planned to be dug very close to our rural village and he has been extremely supportive to us and has raised the issue in Parliament and joined the protests. I didn't vote for him but I have no complaints as to the job he's doing.

No, apart from when the local press takes photos. She doesn't live here and doesn't even have a local "surgery".

Our MP ,who lives locally, had his home pelted with eggs a couple of years ago because of an unpopular education edict.
