VS your dismissal of JaneJudge's concers for her daughter's care speaks volumes about the sort of intersectional feminism you practice. A disabled woman's mother told "I mean seriously, come on" You should hang your head in shame.

Scarf in Suffragette colours not allowed in Scottish Parliament.
(1001 Posts)During stage 2 hearings of the GRR Bill in the Scottish Parliament, women are being asked to either remove scarves knitted in Suffragette colours of green, purple and white or leave. At least one woman has chosen to leave. And yet quite a few of the MSPs are wearing Rainbow lanyards.

I was just commenting from what I have read on Gransnet from intersectional feminists, I think that was quite obvious from my post. I have a full time job and I am doing a working degree and I have carer responsibilities, so sorry to let you down with my lack of reading of your favourite websites. I have a good grasp of what intersectional feminism is about
I mean seriously, come on
Have there been any threads about those groups you mention Jane?
Have you ever actually looked at an intersectional feminist group?
I mean.... seriously?
I have listened to thread after thread after thread of GC views. Feels like groundhog day but have to listen to nonsense about intersectional feminism from.people who won't... even... look lol
I think some of the viewpoints from intersectional feminists are misogynistic as they ignore natal born female minorities wrt groups who are generally much more vulnerable than natal born males with gender dysphoria

Oh bloody hell, I am being forced to do the nice thing. Volver is as likely to close GN as I am to win an Olympic medal. Anyone can say what they like within guidelines. If people get banned they have broken guidelines.
There was once a Male poster who used to drive me to distraction. I was once quite personal about him. I was deleted. He didnt get me deleted, I got myself deleted. Was worth it but that's besides the point.
🙂
I've been called misogynistic so many times on GN because I'm an intersectional feminist. Just because someone calls you something doesn't mean you are what they say. If the lesbian thought someone was too old and said "no" would she be ageist? She might be called it of course. People often try to insult you. They are best ignored.
When I have said your posts are misogynistic it is when you have posted things that indicate that you put the rights/feelings/wishes of men ahead of those of women, not because you define yourself as an intersectional feminist.
I am not talking about polite conversations where someone is asked to consider whether her rejection of a male-bodied sex partner might be based on a fear of transpeople, but about a woman being threatened, abused and scared. Threats of rape with a chick-dick, of being acid-scarred and so on. Not something that can be easily ignored.
Believe it or don't, but a quick google will bring up examples that suggest that these are not isolated cases. I'll pass on your advice to my friend though - I'm sure she'll feel a lot safer for knowing that she should take no notice of the nasty man.

Lots of poster have the same opinion, Yammy but don't voice them. They know they can be banned at the flick of a report button.

This thread, as well as being a trans thread as I said on page 1, has completely gone to pot. Away to watch Bake Off 😄.
I hope you're not participating you'll scorch them withe your tongue.
Give yourself a break and be pleasant for a change.
How ironic that the people who exhort us to be nice to each other are the ones with the most unpleasant attitudes to those they don't get on with.

Best of luck with it all, the best advice I ever had in life was to choose my friends wisely
Best advice is to keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

*Oh for goodness sake going on a dating site does not mean anyone has to have sex with the person they meet. They may decide their date is too tall, too old, too rough, too anything. Even people who go on dating sites which are set up specifically to enable them to have sex sometimes say "no" to the person they meet. Lesbians are not an exception they are like everyone else. It's called choice*
Yes, I know you don't believe that this happens (or was that trisher), but I personally know of lesbians who have been called transphobic and worse for refusing to have sex when they realise their 'hook-up' is a man. I am not personally au fait with the rules or expectations of any kind of dating sites but I believe what I have been told by people I trust, and similar reports have been in the press.

Same old same old.
Yup!
Don’t respond, don’t supply evidence when you can’t.
Same old, same old.

Now convince me again why GC feminists are so wonderful
Another example of a total absence of logical argument.
'GC people are meanies and they assign views to others that they may not hold'.
'No we aren't. We are all different. In fact we are often lumped together by trans allies'
'Well, some GC people have been mean to me. So prove to me that you are all wonderful'.
I cant speak for others but I have no wish to convince you that GC feminism is wonderful. I am comfortable with people holding different views.
Same old same old
I'm off to watch Matt Hancock get covered in bugs on catch up TV

VS It's fine to state the obvious, such as women should be able to choose sexual partners, but when everything else you say contradicts that (eg that TWAW) then saying that is a bit pointless, and sounds like you haven't understood the situation. Logically, if TWAW, then a lesbian who goes on a dating site (of the sort where the assumption is that the point of the meeting is to have sex) and unwittingly hooks up with one, but then refuses to have sex when she realises the truth of the situation is being transphobic. You can't have it both ways. She would have done had the TW been a woman, and it is because she doesn't accept that a male bodied person with a penis is a woman that she refuses, so her refusal is discrimination against transwomen.
It is only if you accept that TWATW, and that many of them will have to accept that those of their number who are also heterosexual males will not be attractive to most lesbians that your concession that women should be allowed to 'choose who they are intimate with' is possible, which is not compatible with your oft-proclaimed position that TWAW.

Violetsky: “Self reflection is key”.
This……from someone who started a thread entitled (IIRC) “Narcissists are boring”and who misrepresents both feminism, the position of those who speak up for women's rights and the safe-guarding of children, oh….and the truth of human biology.
This is a perfect example of what I mean
I've even been accused of being a terrible TA because my views
And you guys think this is OK behaviour

Your not wrong.
Perhaps try reading the threads I post on where people accept varying points of view and we have adult conversations?
Or does that activity not feature in the "Get volver" playbook?
Galaxy - does this count as being told to "be kind"?
