I looked at the wallpaper on the Soane website, and I immediately thought of Laura Ashley too.
But in my experience LA wallpaper is terrible quality - really thin and tips easily.

I think Maddyone was referring to the picture of the dressing gown that looked like Carrie's wallpaper and cost the same!
Laura Ashley often has prints with a trellis effect and a geometric style. Not too pricey either.

I’ve recently been thinking about a wallpaper and fabric which was really popular in the 70’s.
It was huge pink and white 60’s type graphic flowers.
I think it also come in orange.
My Nan had it in her spare bedroom where I slept.
It was on the walls, curtains and bedspread.

I think I’ll stick to my M+S fleecy dressing gown for winter, and M+S cotton dressing gown for summer.

My interior design taste would make Liberace roll in his grave, and even I think that’s hideous.

I’m afraid I hate all wallpaper whatever it costs. I’m sure you can buy wallpaper that looks good and is much cheaper and still get what you want. However each to their own, it’s not my taste at all.

I don’t share Carrie Johnson’s taste in wallpaper or husbands.

I prefer paint tbh but also think it's down to personal taste and who am I to criticise I'd certainly get pretty peeved if people criticised my taste. You decorate to please yourself not the masses.

There's a much better example of the colourful ethnic look in the latest Homes and Antiques. The room shown in the Mail Online article should have more stuff in if one is going for that look.

There has been a backlash against the greige look so one could argue that Lulu Lyttle was in advance of the crowd when she was hired by the Johnsons to decorate their flat. Let's hope that someone takes photos before the decor is changed.

We had similar trellis style wallpaper in the fifties.

Most houses here don’t have wallpaper at all. Just paint. When we went to Norway I was amazed at the awful colours they used, purples, dark greens, very fussy. I always thought Scandis had good taste until then.
