Good grief, of course they do. So does the lady who breaks in the Queen's shoes and probably even prostitutes. I think prostitution is legal, its the soliciting that illegal. Somebody will know better than me. Anyway, its all completely irrelevant.

I have no idea why the discussion started to be about the morality of inheritance. They can keep all their big houses and whatever, its entirely irrelevant. How much they are worth is entirely irrelevant. How much of it they leave to their kids is entirely irrelevant.

Expecting to have power because your dad did, and having a limousine especially for your priceless hat, that is not irrelevant and is all just a bit weird.

Do traffic wardens get to pass the role down to their children without the need for a selection process?

From now on I hope the Queen leaves all the work stuff to Charles and we get to see her at the light hearted events she enjoys.

Think the Queen misjudged public feeling about Andrew accompanying her at the Memorial Service he should have been there but not in such a prominent way. Also that the Queen is reported as not wanting to be seen in public in a wheelchair. A lot of people have no option other than to use a wheelchair and if the Queen does feel like this then what message is she showing to our disabled community.

We are all masters of our own destiny, that's why I am impatient to let Charles have a go because he might just come up with some radical changes. Or maybe that is the very reason for his mother wanting to hang on?!

I don't think its an intentional slur, if its true at all. Which none of us know. But if the Queen thinks being seen in a wheelchair somehow makes her seem a weaker person, what does that say to all the people who have to use wheelchairs, and what we are to think of them. She influences lots of people and how they think.

It says the same as my physiotherapist and enablement team said to me ‘ keep walking until it becomes physically impossible to do so.

I was asked to join the Queen’s pageant as a ‘national treasure’, but I won’t take part in this public relations exercise No thanks, Ma’am. For LGBT campaigners like me, your jubilee is nothing to celebrate

Look up the amount of people employed, it would be liking closing a factory.

I think their wealth and how the monarchy achieved it over centuries is relevant to people who don't have enough. And saying other people are rich isn't relevant, we're talking about the Royal Family, for whom we pay.
I think the public are thinking more now about whether we need a monarchy.

I think it's fine if someone doesn't want to be seen in a wheelchair. It's their choice. And I agree with Anniebach...keep mobile as long as possible.

It’s not about the money, either the cost of the monarchy or the royals personal wealth. volver has said this repeatedly and she’s right. It’s not about the money. It’s about the principle. It’s about whether we are a fully democratic country (we’re not!) it’s about whether we want a country which still adheres to the idea of rank and social class, some at the very top, ie the royals, and some a long way down, ie the people. And in between the lords and ladies, earls and countesses, and so on.
