Why are you all so cynical, it's nauseating. I'm no supporter of the Tories or Boris but nor do I think we'd be better off with Starmer. On the whole Boris and the others have done well reacting to the situation day after awful day. There shouldn't have been parties of course but before we criticise we should all look back over the last two years. Can we all honestly say we haven't broken or 'bent' the rules a bit, and then justified it to ourselves. Be honest.
Evidence is beginning to emerge that after Johnson stood in his £2million refit newsroom on 16 March and told the country that we must stay at home, only one walk a day, not travel anywhere to our second home etc. "…………that evening he travelled to chequers and continued to shuttle back and forth throughout the period of total lockdown.
Not long after Johnson got covid, staff at chequers also went down with it and began to refuse to work.
I bet Boorish (sorry Boris) Johnson is stood in a corner with a sheet over him and a lampshade on his head, or behaving like babies do, when they put their hands over their face and think they cant be seen! Or is he doing the "I'm not talking to you" . Well after all the lying, cheating , self serving, he hasnt even got the guts to leave before he is pushed. Despicable behaviour ,and once you cannot be trusted to be truthful you will never be trusted by decent people of whatever political views. The most cheering news we could have this new year is to see him go and try and have a more civilised and honest person . Lets face it, just about anyone could take over and be better. (Wonder what the next one will think of his extravagant decorations? ) Dont see him getting to enjoy them hopefully.
Interesting views here,, I skim read the "news" actually it is so depressing..
but I have a view that we are all doomed! yes, the corrupt have taken over the country (if not the world, but you will shoot me down for thinking that) I just cannot see how we can get out of the pit of corruption.. the few good people and yes, there are some, just have no chance..

Have you read Harry Potter? Remember mud blood Voldemort and his campaign against mud bloods? And it seems likely that Hitler had Jewish blood. My nickname for Patel is Voldemorta. Some people are consumed with repressed self-hatred, fear, shame - whatever. It's all part of a pattern.......
Did Justice Secretary, @DominicRaab , just explain on national TV that "having a beer" provided it is "in a work setting" does not break the rules? Isn't that what his entire party and its media advocates have been demanding @Keir_Starmer apologise for, all weekend?
He is probably looking at a draft of the report due any day on the goings on. His indelible marker pen will run out with all the redacting on the document he will be doing.
Picture in one of today’s papers of him jogging with his dog and wearing what look very like patterned boxer shorts and a beanie with a British Rail logo. Anyone remember that dog called ’What-a-mess’?
The government was so keen to stifle debate and get its draconian measures through in the police bill, that it thought it was being very clever (wait for it???) and put in all the nasty amendments in after the debate.
Now they have all been voted down by the which means because of the rules they can’t go back to the HoC.
What fools they are.
However there is still some nasty bits in the bill, so the fight isn’t completely over.
