As for addressing the OP, I agree with Jaxjacky.

Johnson and his government are appalling. I can’t believe those who voted for him actually believed anything that came out of his mouth. Why aren’t the press calling him out on his lies? Why isn’t the Speaker doing likewise. At least the US got rid of their lying overweight buffoon - trump, although there is always the danger of him coming back like some resuscitated corpse.

People have commented about his being used as a prop, and about his being photographed in a nappy (I don't have issues with that myself), but nobody has 'examined him from head to toe for faults', have they?

Two women meeting for the first time- one a young mum with her first baby - yes an “ice breaker”, a point of contact, what you will - IMO that has s*d all to do with “What have we come to as a nation”
They are not the politicians or world leaders , I did not suggest for one moment that Boris and Joe would be in need of Dad-chat, so what do you mean?
What have we come to as a nation when two women can not enjoy a walk on the beach with a toddler? Photo op or not (and when you are in the public eye there is no “not”)

Venom? Spite? It’s all utterly deserved unfortunately. He is dragging our country into a ditch to suit his own ends, and whatever colours you pin to your mast in your hearts you must know he deserves everything he gets.

If you disagree with his politics then stick to posting about that. Why does this require endless personal bitching about him, Carrie and Wilfred which has nothing to do with the politics. He deserves everything he gets - what exactly does that mean? What nastiness.

How can we take this G7 conference seriously if all the respective spouses are in attendance? Why oh why parade any baby in front of the world press is beyond me. It isn’t a social club.

I thought the comments about Wilfreds nappyknicks were tongue in cheek?! Obviously not! he was on the beach FGS! Lets face it, the Johnston's would be damned if they did bring Wilfred and damned if they'd left Wilfred at home. At least not seeing his face saves the little boy and his parents from the inevitable horrible comments on here and elsewhere. I thought the pictures of him were charming particularly with his Mum and Mrs Biden, but you can always find a sour puss to find fault and cluck with disapproval. He did wear shorts to the BBQ, so presumably he was considered to be decently dressed for that occasion.

When this PM is shown to have lied and behaved dishonourably, and his supporters on GN can't refute the weight of evidence, they resort to nasty name calling - using words like "spite", "venom" and "bile".

I assume these are insults picked up from the right wing press as I have never heard them used by GNetters who criticise this government.

Well I'm not a Boris supporter, far from it, but actually I am sick of the spiteful comments too. Everything is picked over looking for something to dislike or complain about. I get it! Some GNetters don't like Boris, despise his politics and suspect his motives for everything he does, but do you have to make a career out of it? Please don't tell me to avoid your threads, unless of course you want to name them so that it's clear it's just another tirade of Boris hate.

If they don’t want pictures of the children they should keep them away from the areas where the media are and not use them for publicity.

After nearly 2 years of Covid restrictions on such meetings , I
want the leaders to be concentrating on economic recovery,
covid, climate change and not be distracted by the hosts'
personal family life.

Oh dear, it was for a short period of time, a proud mum having her baby with her. You really think it distracted the full meaning of being there, and that it took away the importance of the talks about economic recovery, very sad people always looking for something to moan about.
