They're not stray cats.

The only one that I know definitely housed a refugee is Gary Linaker, he was interviewed recently and they are still in touch.

Open up all the churches, they're always empty.

The Archbishop of Canterbury volunteered I think, but the refugees would have been living in another property I believe, so a bit different.

Not sure if it ever happened.

Dont know but both Bob Gelfof and JKR have contributed more than I have ever done to supporting the vulnerable in our society.

There were other people too, widely publicised at the time, interested if anyone actually did.
