In all honesty having food, shelter and material comfort certainly didn't make the emotional pain harder - but in no way did it ease it. So the gross insensitivity of that comment and it's phrasing did need calling out. Throwing other people's painful experiences under the bus to score a point about privilege sets a low bar - and lets face it, most of us on here are mature enough to have had more than one painful experience in life so there are no excuses in 'I didn't know...' or 'it's nothing to me'. There is no palatable excuse for that level of fuckwittery, it's just trolling, plain and simple.

One example I can offer Annie. He was one of the lucky ones in the sense that, following on from his very sad childhood, he didn’t end up living on the streets compared to many children with no other option nor was he a victim of, child poverty. These are a few examples with which to compare how his life turned out as opposed to those less fortunate. A fact which having, is an aid to healing.

Using teenagers who are homeless is so wrong, what of the many who have comfortable homes , lose a parent, have a parent with mental illness ? you think they are lucky ?

Wrong, I understand what was said, to go from a very wealthy man to homeless people is in my opinion - playing the homeless card.

There are people in towns, villages, living in terraced houses,
semmi’s , on council estates who suffered from childhoods , should these be told - your the lucky ones you haven’t ended up living on the streets.

All of the nurses and all of the doctors employed in private health care are trained in the NHS. If you want private health care by all means have it but pay to train the staff, pay when something goes wrong and don't rely on NHS emergency services, and pay when the insurance money from something like BUPA runs out, don't rely on the NHS to provide services then. Most people couldn't afford it.

Prince Charles has driven 100 miles to visit his father in hospital today, the hospital has a strict lock down procedure I don’t think that sounds very hopeful it would be nice if he could get to his 100 birthday do you think he’d get a letter from the Queen !
However he’s a very good age and been very energetic into old age he can’t go on for ever Good luck to him although I have no feelings for the royals as royals just human beings
