There are some strange people who won’t meet anyone with differing political views from themselves, it’s not just Brexit.
I often wonder how much they really enjoy life.

Nope Gaga see the above post by Maizie .....she doesn’t want the company of anyone who voted leave.....then goes on to say various calumnies about any leavers.I was simply pointing out that it may work both ways.

Makes me laugh as to who we would have tea with.

As a Reaminer I'm going to be sitting with the Brexiters.

Ah well, as Hetty says, the UK has more to worry about now with Covid, the aftermath of Covid etc which makes Brexit pale into insignificance ( as momentous events go.)

I am with you on not enjoying the company of that type of person Maizie. It isn't fun, wincing when the offensive comments are slipped into the conversation.

However, I do have to work with some like it. A covid denying, mask refusing, borderline racist. I make polite work conversation and tell him I disagree when he starts. And walk away.

I don't think so Ug. For a start, I'd be meeting up with people with no moral compass whatsoever; who were prepared to vote for a known pathological liar as PM for our country. Also with a pretty well documented tendency for racist comments...

Then, from posting on this forum for the last few years I have observed that Leavers tend to be:

anti immigration,
anti asylum seekers, and
anti spending money outside the UK, e.g on foreign aid.
Also, a touch of anti state welfare

Really not my sort of person at all, thanks all the same.

I hate to tell you Urmstongran but in the list of people I don't actually know those who do not seem to understand democracy do not come high. I don't mean that I wish you ill, of course I don't, but there are reams of people I would rather hear about.

You did better than me at Morrisons Oopsadaisy1, mine was missing celery (for the second time), cashew nuts, oranges, olives, lemongrass, broccoli, and romaine lettuce.It’s annoying when you only do click and collect once a week.

I had a Morrisons delivery today, everything I asked for was delivered except for deodorant (?) olives, olive oil, spices , pasta, loo rolls , fruit, including a pineapple and plenty of Wonky veg, pizzas, all there.

I’ll let you know when it’s not in PippaZ. We got bananas, Braeburn apples and a tub of blueberries today which were on my list. So far, so available.

That is simply not logical. Why do you assume that someone who thinks we would have been better off staying in the EU, and would now like to work our way back to a closer relationship, is not aware of the issues and challenges coming from the pandemic.

Well it’s just pizza from Sainsbury’s. No shortages of foodstuffs in there today.

Are you sure. I couldn't join you in a pizza even if I wanted to and today - when I picked up my click and collect - there were several items missing and they were all 'special' ones. I am still managing to get some things by post but, if the first lock down is anything to go by, there are shortages which people are making up for from the "Free From" isle. Either that or some of our own producers are finding it difficult to get the basic ingredients.

How long will it be before you notice the fruit is not coming in? You can't live on pizza for ever.
