*I’m not saying that every leave voter is racist but the ones I know are. I can’t unfriended them completely but it makes for very difficult situations where I have to walk away biting my lip.*
I am with you on not enjoying the company of that type of person Maizie. It isn't fun, wincing when the offensive comments are slipped into the conversation.
It’s no longer enough to simply not be racist, ladies. It’s time that we start calling out racist behavior and being anti-racist.
It’s uncomfortable, But I imagine it’s far more uncomfortable for the people who are having racist things said about them.
It depends on the situation though, doesn’t it. When you meet up with a group of people in your dog walking group and realise that a new member is a UKIP member it’s best to just avoid confrontation. I’m not someone that wants to make other people feel uncomfortable, especially the person who runs the group. I do stand up to people in some situations and it has often shocked people but there is a time and a place for everything. Also, some of these people are downright dangerous. Which doesn’t mean to say that I don’t stand up to such people at times.
