Harassing migrants by the far right

I spoke to the police about these videos being on the website. The police are aware of what is happening and are monitoring the hotels in case of trouble. Unfortunately the videos themselves cannot be classed as hate crime. I do find it ironic that these right wingers who claim to support the police are in fact creating more work for them.

Police have said that the far right are targeting migrants and Asians saying that they are spreading the virus in the U.K.

Hate crime is on the rise existentially.

Police chiefs are concerned.

We must be very careful in our use of language I think as I have seen posts accusing immigrants etc of spreading the virus on GN.

I think it’s the insidious rise of far right ideology I find even more worrying, than their cowardly threats against immigrants.
Most right minded people are compassionate and abhor the hate and sometimes violence shown to asylum seekers who are fleeing similar and much worse in their own country.
What really is concerning is the far right’s gradual move into the margins of politics, seeking to move the Overton window, so that racism begins to be accepted as part of the norm in mainstream politics. I think this is apparent in the rise of populism in many countries including U.K. and how it appeared in the Brexit campaigning.

After watching Taking Control about Cummings, I would certainly include him as part of the mob. And he is next to the highest power in the country.

The British Union of Fascists is a banned organisation and it's illegal to display the flag, but it seems to have been taken over by the New British Union, which (so far) has escaped being banned. The police took no action against it today.

Yes, I did and she's not a nurse. She's a care worker for a private company. Maybe the beds where she works are empty because the former patients are dead.

Asfar as I can see Far right and conservative = Britain first ..or what used to be National Front .Its all the same ideals just wrapped differently.
The treatment of the sick.disabled ,elderly,unemployed .immigrants by the Conservatives over the past 10 years is clearly the same ethos that these small minded bigots are showing in their harrassment of innocent people who have suffered enough .WE NEED immigrants .they're not taking anyones jobs or houses or schools ..Get the government to solve the problems you have they created them not immigrants !

Video footage has emerged of members of a far right group entering a place of safety and refuge for migrants and showing them knocking on doors saying that as tax payers they have every right to question these people.

It sent shivers down my spine as it seemed to echo the behaviour in 1930s Germany.

It is disgusting behaviour by extremists in our midst. We do need to fight against all forms of racism and all other hate crimes no matter who the perpetrator.

how, and why? Racism is not simply about left and right and exclusivity. What is a 'political persuasion' - people try to over-simplify and my post was addressing that. But there is no denying that the alt right is very closely linked to racism.

I think it is overcrowded now because it went to the rescue of another boat in difficulties which had one dead person on board.

On Friday morning, the crew posted on the boat's official Twitter page that they had rescued 89 people, including 14 women and four children, and were seeking a place of safety for them to disembark.
That evening, it said it lent assistance to another overcrowded boat, which was filling with water, had a dead body on board and many more suffering fuel burns.
