Firecracker thinks that the farmer who was furious at Johnson climbing a fence onto his land without permission to pitch a tent, and lighting a campfire is " . . probably an SNP plonker with an agenda." but he is more probably a farmer with stock and/or crops who is aware of the potential results of lighting random fires in August.
Why did anyone think that it was permissable or even advisable to camp wild without permission just because it was Scotland and not Surrey? There are plenty of recognised camping and caravan sites in Scotland, many of them in remote picturesque places. Where there isn't one, it is a common courtesy to call on a landowner to ask whether it is OK - did no-one do that?
