Iam that is exactly what we were told by Raab. They lied to us and even when he went into IC they said he was ‘sitting up’. There’s no wonder some people were therefore cynical. They played us for fools and then expect us to swallow everything. I’m

vegans rock, I am convinced that Mr Johnson was seriously ill. He started with mild symptoms. I don't remember anyone saying he was in hospital as a precaution. Have I wiped that from my mind or missed it? That's entirely possible.
Whatever - no one is admitted into intensive care "as a precaution".

But isn’t he the one who was only talking the other week about the need to combat obesity in this country? I don’t understand why he doesn’t do something about his own weight: especially as it is the co morbidity that almost killed him.

I know people in such positions seem to age quickly and current situation would affect anyone. That said he looks dreadful somehow managing to look overweight and haggard at the same time.

If they put in a deputy, temporarily, that would avoid the difficulties of selecting a new leader.
That's got to be better than someone who is not well struggling along, even if they were brilliant to start with. Which Johnson wasn't.

I don't think he looks well. What is it with male pride? Why doesn't he admit and hand the reins to someone else. His health is more important than his ego.

I remarked some time ago on another thread featuring the competence of BoJo that he was still unwell.

I am not a fan, but was willing to give the believers the benefit of the doubt, I was waiting to see his reported acuity, energy and leadership skills in action.

So far, not so good. I think he's a rubbish PM but I don't think he's well either.

I beg to differ. A politician's life can be our business. Perhaps you've forgotten when he Tory party were telling us one thing and doing the exact opposite. Cecil Parkinson in particular springs to mind.

If he is ill - and it could be argued that he took unnecessary risks which might have contributed to his illness - he should say so and stand down.

This country needs a prime minister who is fit and capable of working at full capacity with his colleagues to deal with the very difficult challenges that now face us. Not somebody who appears to have become reliant on unaccountable special advisors to oversee governmental departments and formulate policies.

As someone said earlier, I expect Theresa May, Tony Blair etc (and Corbyn) are thanking their lucky stars that they weren't PM when these multple catastrophes happened.
