Today in the Brexit Bulletin (The Daily Telegraph - behind a paywall):
“The problem, they argue, is the EU’s failure to understand that they are dealing with a fundamentally different administration to the one led by Theresa May.
As one source put it over the weekend: “When talking to the previous government, the EU were dealing with a negotiating team that may have wanted Brexit in name only, with minimal changes.
“That is clearly not the case now. The EU needs to realise that we are not up for continuing previous arrangements: when they understand that, it will be much easier to make progress.”
In other words, Mr Johnson’s team really do believe that “Brexit means Brexit”, and intend to deliver it, deal or no deal.”
