In what way will it ‘all come alright’?
Erasmus has gone - impacting on many young people. Freedom of movement has gone. Science funding has gone. My business will close this year (affecting hardly anyone but me & my clients - and it will impact on them as no-one else anywhere else in the world does what I do), jobs are going - a Japanese friend has already had to move to Germany to keep her job because the project she is working on is a big joint EU project and the UK is now out of that - already - how many more will there be?
So yeah I shall be relieved if my son’s meds supply is not affected but that won’t mean everything is ‘alright’. The sky may not fall in but for many their future opportunities have already been taken away.
I guess today confirms it’s time for the kids to embrace their heritage & order their Irish passports.
