Dear Conservative Voters,

People keep assuming that non voters would have voted labour. Just like Remainers assuming that the non voters in the referendum would have voted remain.

Same for the assumption that young pre-voting age teens would want you to vote labour on their behalf.

All are wrong.

If only 18 to 24 year old had voted, there wouldn't be a single solitary Conservative MP. The generation that is the future of this country know what they want and we will have a left government. It is only a matter of time.

There is a problem with what an individuals perception of what constitutes 'getting Brexit done by January 31st' means.

It looks likely the UK will have left the European Union on or before January 31st. The UK will have ' Brexited', it will be done.

If an individual does not understand there is to be a ' transition period ' and expects it to be all done and dusted then yes they are ' deluded'.

If however an individual understands what a ' transition period ' means then they are not delusional but acknowledge we ' will' have left the European Union/Brexited as a fact but what follows is agreeing a Trade Agreement which will be an enormous task. It will come down to the game of playing politics over economics most probably .

IMO every one who didn't vote Labour has demonstrated they wanted what was best for the country, be keeping JC out of number 10.

As someone who voted to leave but only 'lent' my vote to Boris I will be watching very carefully.

I'm not sure it's going to happen either, I can't imagine a majority of MPs wanting to get into bed with Trump for example

I find it funny that when people actually want their Govt to follow through on promises they are accused of “not giving enough time” and to “hold their horses” (paraphrased). Why make excuses already instead of agreeing that “yes we should push them to fulfill their promises”. It’s like even supporters know it will never happen

The polls have now been analysed and apparently most people in marginal seats dis not vote for Boris, rather they voted against Momentum

I seriously expect to see the 50.000 new nurses, that was actually only 39000, be subjected to some serious creative accounting, at the end of which we might get 500!

Whatever timescales the conservatives have given are what I would expect. If they haven't given them then it's reasonable to remind them they ought to set one.

Totally agree with you Starblaze and I hope that the opposition (all parties) will hold the new government to account.

They'll have to get a shift on if it's going to materialise in a reasonable timescale. When are the new recruits, e.g. to the police and NHS going to begin their training? Even BJ can't magic them up out of nowhere. Promising large numbers of personnel who need extensive training is irresponsible, because people have been influenced by these promises and are expecting to see improvement.

So what is a reasonable timescale, or is the plan to get people out of retirement/ recruit from overseas?

Very strange that anyone would cast aspergions on me rather than fight for what they voted for. I've been around.

It may well be possible to do the things you demand, Starblaze, (funny, not heard that name before) because everything the elected government attempts to do now will not be thwarted by a group of renegade MPs , ostensibly in the interests of 'the people.'

Thank you Starblaze for putting it so well. I accept the fact that we lost, and we will now come out of the EU. So now I want to see all the benefits that have been promised from the very beginning of the campaign: the flood of real money going into the NHS; increases in the number of police, teachers, emergency workers; the advantageous trade deals with other countries; development of northern industries and infrastructure. I realise this takes time - but I, and all the other losers, will expect to see noticeable developments by the end of next year. It's up to you who have been fighting for Brexit now.

Democracy doesn't end in the polling station. We have to hold them to account.

I was delighted that our Labour MP was beaten by a Tory, but mostly because of her and Corbyn, not because I necessarily agree with Tory policies (I didn't agree with the LAbour ones either).

But I do agree with you. We ALL, regardless of political leanings, need to push for all the other important things apart from Brexit to be dealt with effectively. Our MPs shouldn't be allowed to get away with being complacent.
