Anita took two little girls to MacDonald's HQ with a truckload of plastic tat - gifts which McD give away with their Happy Meals.
These little girls had been trying to stop Macdonald's giving away these toys which just end up in landfill and took a petition to the HQ.

It was appalling how the receptionist told these little girls that she would send for someone to see them then sent for security to order them off the premises.

It was just disgusting to see the contempt that this company had for young girls of 7 and 9. I was shocked.

They just do not care.

I eat almost no red meat, just the occasional bacon sandwich or steak pie if I go out to eat at a pub. Otherwise, no red meat! I never eat Burger King or McDonalds! I’ve never taken my grandchildren to eat at Burger King or McDonalds. I do enjoy dairy foods such as yogurt and cheese. I eat eggs. I have no intention of giving these foods up.

I rarely go to McDonald's but have been twice recently (didn't eat what I bought, a veggie snack, as it was horrible) but DGS quite likes one occasionally.
The speed of delivery and slickness of service was quite astounding - hence their popularity I suppose.

janipat zero hours contracts was brought into this discussion by the people who object to the protest. I have no figures but I very much doubt if there is any organisation supplying food in central London which doesn't rely on zero hours contracts. It is nit picking to accuse people making a protest of letting down their cause because they buy a veggie burger.

No trisher it isn't nitpicking of the worst order. You said What would you rather they did? Starved or succumbed to dehydration. They had the choice to go to any of the hundreds of outlets in the city, they chose to go to McDonald's and support them. If they went there because it is the cheapest, how do they think McDonald's achieves this? Common sense dictates because they operate zero hours contracts. So by deduction we can assume their conscience wasn't troubled about supporting a company that has such practices.

McDonalds is by far the cheapest in central London janipat. I agree it is ridiculous but no more rididculous than posting people eating vegiburgers or buying coffee shouldn't be because they are environmental activists. Yes I know BK is worse than McDonalds, but not a lot. By supporting BK or McDonald's in any form you are supporting their business ethos. Doesn't matter that it's a veggie burger, go elsewhere to buy it if you truly believe what you've been shouting.
