Most of Johnson's cabinet have either been sacked by TM for being incompetent or resigned before being pushed. IMO they are an absolute disgrace and there is nothing positive to be said about any of them

Peony I don’t understand your post at all. It doesn’t matter where Eton is. Diane Abbots son went to City of London School where fees are about £18k - its nowhere near the most expensive day school in London. Fees for Eton are about £42k but that does include boarding of course. Warning- none of this implies that I am not critical of her decision - whether it was the most expensive school or not is irrelevant.

So, Johnson has demanded that the Welsh press do not ask any not previously approved questions.

But what could stop them from doing so?

Suzie, , Eton is in Windsor and I should have said Dianes son is at one of the most expensive schools in London, at 25k a year, but that's almost half of Harrows, so she is in fact saving money. People come out of those schools with not only the best education I would want for my children, but as importantly contacts.
Whitewave I am sonsorry your daughter is losing her position in Europe as a Genetic Scientist because of Brexit, , however there are vacancies here, with experienced ones earning round about 100k a year.

Peony whilst I would also criticise Diane Abbott’s decision, it is not true to say her son went to the ‘most exclusive expensive public school’. City of London is certainly not the most exclusive or expensive independent school in London. One of the problems with the political threads is the inaccurate or misleading statements that are sometimes made. I think it would be fair comment to say that Eton is the most exclusive expensive public school - by comparison City of London is minor league ?

I see problems with various politicians in both major parties, where you only see problems with one side.

Thankyou Pantglass. Yes many people are blinkered, they get a view on something and pride themselves as never wavering, instead of looking at both sides of an argument rationally, but it all depends on the home they come from and those who influence their lives whilst young.

Well said Peonyrose. The bias and one sided thinking shown on the political threads astonishes me - are people not taught by their parents, school or college to look at stuff rationally any more?

Your list should include every single person in either party with something detrimental about them, for example, Diane Abbots son going to the most exclusive, expensive public school, yet thinking the rest of the population should be state educated. You have to look at the bigger picture. Every one of them, tell me one that has never put a foot wrong and is a shining example, because we are all human, we make mistakes and hopefully learn from them, one bad deed does not make a bad person. I admire people of integrity who do what they say and live by their morals, but that's the ideal, we all fall short somewhere along the line.

I would like the Burkha and Nicab banned. You can't go in a shop in a hoody, who knows who is inside a garment that covers whole body and face. This weather it's inhuman to be covered, the men wouldn't do it, there is no religion that says the face and body are shameful, so hide it.
Regarding Johnson, I am waiting for his next big gaff. I think he comes over very well. As for leaving on 31 st. Boris has a habit of not doing what he says. The one to look out for in the future is Dominic Raab, I listened to him speak yesterday on the radio. We are in a pretty pickle. Labour are not viable until they shape up, why do they hang on to Jeremy, it doesn't make sense. However, things have a habit of working out and there's no alternative but to wait it out.
