Remainer/leaver/Brexiteer......on and on it goes, drowning out the voices of the middle ground.
There are plenty of people on this site who have voted Conservative all their lives and are saddened by what is unfolding.

Johnson’s Government
(896 Posts)I can imagine we will be horror struck as next week plays out. The cabinet will be a sight to behold.
Ooooh. The Remainers accuse others of 'pearl-clutching', frequently.
It's fun watching them going into frothing-at-the-mouth- over-drive, all over the internet, now Boris is in Number 10.
And the very mention of Jacob Rees-Mogg and they become apoplectic.
It must be exhausting for them in this heat.
Why do you persist in seeing the whole population of the UK as a member of one or the other tribe Day6?
There are hundreds of thousand of people with very many shades of opinion. Guess what, some of those ideas and opinions may change too?
He will have to call a snap general election in the hope of getting a lot more MPs on his side. However the Libdems will be campaigning to cancel Brexit and could upset the apple cart with remainders from all parties voting Lib-dems.
Re JRM
Has anybody had the opportunity to watch Jacob Rees Mogg live on BBC Parliament this morning?
He is hated by the left but I thought he was very good.
Now obviously the shouts of ' You would wouldn' t you ' will follow but I expect that so no upset caused.
As I said on the just one of the other threads " He is doing a good job and knows his onions which is refreshing and try as they might he is giving as good as he gets, perhaps his ' give ' is more ' polite ' than those who initiated the need.
Bercow will no doubt be cock a hoop.
The man who presides over a basket case Russian economy became the most powerful politician in the world when he pulled off two coups in 2016.
OMG! This is hilarious!
Silly me, I just KNEW I shouldn't have said "Oh go on then! You take it Vladimir" as I handed over my voting slip to a very persuasive man in a Cossack hat outside the polling station. Poor chap. He'd spent much of the month on his PC, as had his minions, pretending to be British and sending off postal votes.
My next door neighbour was a Russian spy too. I had been calling him Dave for years and you could have knocked me over with a feather when he told me he preferred to be known as Dmitri now the elections were over.
That nice Vladimir chap gave me a handful of roubles and a bottle of vodka for cooperating too.
And now we have someone called BORIS in Number ten. Spooky, eh?
Why do you persist in seeing the whole population of the UK as a member of one or the other tribe Day6?
I don't Lessimore. Read carefully. My post was about keyboard warriors and social media.
Desperation now from the Remoaners, Putin lol. Next it will be far right Hitler references, racist slurs, mistresses new low there.
Indeed Firecracker
But you left out 'fascist'. That's the number one term for anyone who dares to think differently from them.
I do read carefully and yes , you do Day6.
You put the whole of the population into one of 2 camps.
It's silly and dangerous.
Lessismore
"Why do you persist in seeing the whole population of the UK as a member of one or the other tribe Day6?"-
Isn't that what has happened on both sides of the argument?
Isn't that what the most vaciferous posters on the subject of the EU Refendum have done for 3 years?
I voted initially to Remain but I have been disgusted at the bile and tone of ' Some' Remainers.
I have equally been disgusted at the bile and tone of ' Some' Leave voters.
That is not a personal attack of Day 6 by the way.
It's silly
Yes it is
To nit-pick Lessimore
Smacks of desperation and the need to point-score.
Watching Boris Johnson ' live' on BBC Parliament.
The hypocrisy of those who call for Parliament to be more respectful in it's use of language of a personal nature is annoying to watch and hear.
Bercow is a very poor Speaker and I don't care about Party Politics he should do his b----y job properly. Why does he aid and abet bad behaviour by not imposing decency is maintained in Parliament.
Speech was exactly what you would expect. Vintage Johnson, minus the jokes.
I have serious doubts about much of his rhetoric, as do many Tory MPs. as well as the rest of parliament.
The detail will be very interesting.
31 st October looming large.
The best thing though is that brexiters now own the outcome. The ball is entirely in their court and the resultant and fast approaching recession is just the beginning.
WW
Out of interest are you still watching?
It has been very shouty on the back benches and quite puerile at times.
No, I'm not desperate and I don't need to score points.
What exactly do you think I am desperate about?
and the resultant and fast approaching recession is just the beginning
Oh another prediction. You know this is on the cards because..? (You've read reports from Remainer 'experts'?)
More gloom laden forecasts. If it happens it happens, but we have lived through many recessions before. Just think - it may not happen.
You know those three year insurance plans they try to flog you when you buy new white goods - the ones the salesmen use to put fear into your mind of your purchase breaking down shortly after you buy it?
Remainers are like those salesmen, aren't they? Always bracing themselves for the crash. Always predicting we're going to be in trouble.
How can they live like that? What will be, will be.
Let's face it, we are not exactly in a happy place now, are we, nor have we been for the last three years. It's the uncertainty and dithering and not Brexit itself which is causing more problems, according to those in business. If we are going out of the EU we need to get out quickly and move on.
No, just sat looking at social media. I’m not keen on watching the puerile behaviour tbh. I watched just the leaders speeches.
Imo I think that Johnson is intent on a no deal regardless of his fight them on the beaches speech.
I can’t see another WA being negotiated in the 3 weeks left. It is impossible. He has categorically ruled that Mays WA is in the rubbish bin. Unless that is a lie.
Difficult with someone like Johnson, as how can you determine what is true?
Watching the pfeffelling coming out of parliament I think I shall have to stop watching while this man is there.
The more I think about Johnson’s inaugural speech, the more I think he has boxed himself in whether deliberately or not into a no deal.
I will give him credit for the major u-turn on EU immigrants. He always voted against the right to remain. So it was heartening to hear that he has so drastically reversed his opinion. Unless he is lying of course.
I predict he will be kippered by Christmas.
Another Impressive u-turn.
Johnson consistently voted against climate change measures.
Seems vastly enthusiastic about them at the moment.
Hope he is telling the truth.
shouting, red faced, out of control, crazy gesturing, personal insults and attacks - to cover for the fact he has NOT a SINGLE answer to the questions asked. Especially those from Cooper and Benn. He knows full well there is NO solution to the backstop and the Irish border- none whatsoever. He also knows it will always be 100% unacceptable to the EU and to the USA Government.
jura nothing new. He will be hoisted by his own petard. We only have to sit back and watch. Time to take life easy and have fun as he bumbles around trying to manage all the huge egos in his cabinet and attempting to square the circle that is Brexit.
Indeed, and yet - I thought at least for his first day- he would try to contain the bombastic nature, gesturing red face and shouting abuse and insults- and at least TRY to answer a couple of questions at least - but no.
