Those organising this leadership ballot stated that the whole thing would be over in six weeks with the new Prime Minister in place before Parliament rises for its summer recess in mid-July.
However, there are now eleven candidates, and more could enter that throng before the closing date of tenth of June. Therefore, even with the current number of candidates and having an MPs ballot every other day, eliminating one candidate, it will take near twenty days just to get down to the two candidates that then have to go out to the entire membership for final election of the leader.
So, if they then only allow three weeks for that postal ballot to be returned to Central Office there would seem to be no prospect under current Tory party rules for the new Prime Minister to be in place prior to Parliament adjourning for its summer recess.
The foregoing means that another two months of no debate or resolution to the most significant crisis this nation has faced in over seventy years is upon every one of us due once again to the total incompetence in the Tory Party.
It has been the Tory Party that brought this Brexit Situation on the UK, maintained and developed it into a full-blown National crisis, and now cannot even organise an election of a new Leader without that having a serious impact on bringing an end to that crisis.
The entitled "Nineteen Twenty Two committee" of the Tory Party state that they are to meet on Monday to review the rules of leadership elections in the Party. However, many would believe i am sure that the electoral rules should have been reviewed and revised BEFORE calling this election.
What a bunch of Bozos
