What do we think of Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party?

Not only did they play a very clever game, they played an illegal game and appeared at present to have got away with it.

I think there is a whiff of desperation coming from the Brexit supporters, what other reason could any sane person have for falling for Farage's lies? He is the (barely) acceptable face of a very sinister and nasty group of people and those of you who are talking about 'smashing the two party system' have fallen hook line and sinker into his trap, do you really, honestly believe that this man and his cohorts are thinking of you, the voters? What you are supporting is his fantasy is anarchy and frankly you should be ashamed of yourselves. Voting to leave the EU is one thing, but voting for a man who is proposing destroying the current system is quite another. Get a grip.

He’s no different from any other politician ( 99% of them in it for themselves ) but at least he’s giving brexiteers a voice.
I know remainers hate him for that very reason.

I agree that many politicians are in it for themselves Kandinsky. But, I hate him as he is a nasty piece of work who keeps company with some seriously dangerous people, not just because he is making some people promises he is in no position to keep. I seriously fear that many people are falling for his claptrap and you have just proved my fears.

Not really been listening to him lately but plenty of ‘respectable’ Tory politicians want a no deal brexit.

I can assure you that if those who voted leave considered for one minute that remaining in the EU was the best long term option for the country (and those who follow us), they would change their opinion. To my knowledge few if any have, infact a number of those who voted remain now would vote differently.

Um - that is Tommy Robinson's role. UKIP can be their home because the people I know who have joined Brexit have done it as a political protest. They can no longer vote for Labour or the Conservatives. Two are former colleagues who are advocates for Syrian refugees! Racist????

Farage has denounced racism and he removed himself from UKIP a long while ago. It's not his party and hasn't been all the time it has been recreating itself with several different leaders.

Immigration is not on the Brexit Party agenda. leaving the EU is.

Racism is on YOUR agenda. You are looking for it and will smear people as 'racist' because they are not in your political camp.

By the same token, I think YOU need to get a grip and appreciate that not everyone shares your thinking and to smear their posts as you have, is just downright unpleasant. This is why the nation is so divided.

Remainers just cannot lay off demonising, loudly and publically, anyone who wants to leave the EU.

Come to think of it - getting Farage out of the European Parliament and cutting off his largely unearned salary as an MEP are two very good reasons for wanting Brexit to happen!

For the last (nearly)) three years I and other contributors to this site (some long gone) have explained, debated and argued, presented evidence and honest links to support the reasoning behind the vote to leave. I will not repeat what has already been repeated over this period. Suffice it to say i have not changed my decision.
May I suggest you view archived Brexit threads for myriad threads containing reasoning.

I see the Lib Dems as the party for Remain. They haven't wavered, unlike May and Corbyn.

May got as far as Leave means Remain, so she sold out, and Corbyn, the turncoat, against all his natural instincts and long held beliefs, fought in the commons to block Brexit.

There is only one party wanting to leave the EU, and that is the Brexit Party, born out of parliamentary betrayal and lies and much needed I'd say.

Latest Yougov poll for EU elections show the Brexit Party in the lead on 27% followed by Labour on 22%. ?

Before the referendum Brexit simply didn’t appear anywhere when voters were asked about what were their biggest concerns or even just concern. Nobody was that bothered

Can I suggest you check the manifestos of both Labour and Conservative and probably even the Liberal party, since the Maastrich Treaty was signed these parties have all included a leave EU referendum promise within them. All manifesto promises have reneged on until David Cameron finally bit the bullet. So the desire to leave is nothing new and although not and election swinging priority like health or welfare has always been a strong aspiration.

Removing FOM will not reduce immigration over all.

There are controls on EU immigration, we just haven't used them.

Removing FOM affects UK citizens' ability to live and work freely in EU member states. This was seen as a good thing when introduced. A great many of your fellow UK citizens are rather annoyed at having this right removed from them and the fact that they will have to 'jump through hoops' to do what they have been able to do quite freely for many years.

So, people from other EU member states come here to work or to study. If there are no jobs for them they, if we applied the rules, have to go home. If they didn't come here to work then people from non EU countries come in their place because the jobs still have to be done; no diminution in immigrant numbers.

So what is the point in stopping FOM? The only other rationale I've ever seen is that it's 'not fair' that EU citizens can come here visa free when the rest of the world can't...
