A lot of people who believe that youth unemployment is really high in EU countries ( and use that as a criticism of the EU) don’t realise that students are counted as unemployed in Spain and elsewhere, whereas in the U.K. students are not included as unemployed they are “. economically inactive”. Another trick of the statistics.
