The Labour Party are not in power with regards Brexit they don’t have to do anything.

Yvette Cooper at the time of the Brexit vote begged their to be a cross party approach to negotiations and she was ignored.

In the middle of this hell show the Labour Party would be stupid to get involved.

We all know you're a remainer jura! By decisiveness I mean exactly that. Come down on one side or another and deal with the consequences thereafter. Most likely problems whatever happens but its better than the current situation.

It’s the governments job to do first what’s best for the country then secondly for the constituency.

Indeed- and there are several parties inside parties- and totally disagreeing in the way forward. If we had one Party for a clear formula, and another one clearly in opposition - we would get 'decisiveness' - but as the 2 major parties are totally divided and in opposition to themselves - where next?

Theresa May is both vain and deluded. Today she made reference to her croaky voice problem, saying shew had trouble speaking, but she could speak for the country. She cannot. She has absolutely no idea what "people" think or want, or if she has she is lying about it.

She should not be allowed to get away with asserting time and time again that "people want her to deliver brexit". Most British people want brexit stopped.

She should know this because the evidence has been there for a long time, so we must assume she is deliberately lying. Our media, especially the BBC, are letting us all down. She should not be allowed to get away with it.

After yesterday’s fiasco I think something must give.

Hammond’s very public advocacy of a wholly different Brexit route, delivered with May glowering stony-faced and silent on the benches behind him, showed the shift that was taking place in the government, in the Tory party and in parliament. It seemed to indicate that the national interest matters more than the party interest, because an agreed Brexit deal that passes is a higher priority than May’s deal, which has now been twice defeated. It therefore has to imply that Hammond thinks that May may have to go.

Even the most sycophantic of May fans must realise she is weak and dithering, just at a time when we need inspirational and visionary leadership. Doesn’t seem like we are going to get that anytime soon as she clings on trying to unite her party and to hell with any other problems in the country.

Who can give inspirational and visionary leadership?

I am all excited, as we will leave no deal..on wto. as that vote last night means nothing legally.

This could all have been avoided when she lost her majority at the last GE and put the good of the nation ahead of party politics.

jura the opposition has been calling for a cross-party working group for a long time, but they cannot force this to happen.

It's an absolute disaster. Unless we get a deal of some sort we will all be worse off - and that's before the Tories start trashing worker's rights - for those who are lucky enough to still be in work!!!

The opposition are divided too , many labour MP’s want a people’s vote, the leader doesn’t . Many labour MP’s want remain the leader wants out.

That doesn’t exclude a cross-party working group on Brexit Annie. I think you will find the Party does not support out, and has put together a feasible set of condition for an acceptable deal.

The fact remains that Labour has called for cross-party cooperation and this has been denied. Thus we find ourselves in this untenable position.

No matter how much you dislike Corbyn he has been open to cooperation where May has not.,
