Most of us pro REMAIN voters certainly hope so. Even Tory moderates like Justine Greening and Dominic Grieve see a second referendum as the best option for the country. We cannot just disregard the original referendum even though we know it was based on many lies. The only way to resolve the situation democratically is to give the people another say, this time hopefully better informed.
Theresa May is probably a Remainer at heart and still the only Tory capable of being Premier. She was left with an impossible job after the referendum stuck in a political hard place between right wing idealogues and common sense. Now perhaps she may yield to common sense and give democracy and the country another chance.
The world has moved on since June 2016 and the UK electorate has demographic has changed. More younger voters whose future it is can now have a say, sadly some of us oldies have passed away. The interference of Russia and even Trump is understood.
World War 2 started 21 years after World War 1, European Unity has resulted is over 70 years of a mainly peaceful Europe. Brexit could harm that and it simply is not worth it and there is nothing good about Brexit.

One of our assignment teams returned to the office today following a three-day safety audit at a medium sized Transport company. The team are saying that the owners of the business are now having to face the prospect of issuing redundancy notices to their drivers at the end of December due to the uncertainties of Brexit.
In the above, a large percentage of the companies business is in continental haulage on JIT distribution for a number of customers. In a "no deal" Brexit there will be no transition period with the prospect of disruption through the ports commencing as early as the 30th of March 2019. The foregoing would make JIT services impossible and with none of the companies customers stating what alternative plans they have (if any), then to issue twelve week redundancy notices to the drivers is being seen as the only way forward if the company is to survive at all under various scenarios.
The HGV drivers under threat are those that carryout the journeys were illegal immigrants often try to climb into their vehicles and threaten drivers as we have all seen so often on television. Now their reward for all that stress is to be served with redundancy notices.
The above is the real cost of the incompetence of those involved in the planning and negotiation of Brexit. In that, it is not their living and the welfare of their families that is on the line, to them it is just words, while for others it is their jobs and through that, paying the mortgage or rent that is at stake.
Sadly as we approach the end of the year, I feel many more of these situations will develop in the road transport industry.
SIR James Dyson was interviewed on TV about EU grants he said that he did receive millions in grants for his farm but he HAD TO take them as everyone else did! Silly me,I thought they had to be applied for .Even Lizzies estates got EU grants while many small farmers struggled to get them.Of course as with everything else in the UK its all about WHO you know .That Sir before his name would have got his application noticed!!

Dyson says post Brexit Britain not the place to build electric cars. He has had thousands of ££s of taxpayers money for research. I will never buy a Dyson product.
It is very difficult for anyone to attempt to explain the brexit nonsense to other countries. They are understandably perplexed. It is full of contradictions and makes no sense.

Margaret - I agree with your last 7 lines. Having lived in France for 17 years, I know we were very fortunate to be able to live a simple life in beautiful surroundings for so long.
Now returned home and although I love this country, many people are really out out of touch with the the rest of the continent.

I returned home to Germany last week after a stay in the UK.Everyone I met was anti Brexit,quite unlike previous visits when I was afraid to open my mouth, as it was obvious that I could never be for Brexit.
The problem for young scientists is one I know well, having a daughter in a university laboratory researching stem cells. So many UK PhD students are desperate even though they will probably get Visas if necessary. They see the continuation of their work badly curtailed.
Some like the continental way of life, like I do. They thought they had started on a career which could take them anywhere.
18 months of listening to UK Mps wanting all the perks and none of the responsibility of holding the EU together if only for the sake of lasting peace. And all for their own rules, most of which they have control of anyway. Its time they realised that the world we live in is not like the Last night of the Proms, but a much harsher place.
I only hope that finally reason will prevail and the Uk can be saved from chaos.

I do not think we need to wait that long. Most UK citizens now reject brexit and would prefer to remain in the EU.
Obviously it is difficult for Theresa May, as it would be for any PM, to admit that - it involves a big loss of face to say "We are sorry we initiated this ludicrous process which has involved so much waste of time, effort and money. We are very sorry that we made this mistake. We realise that the best future for our country and your 27 other countries is fore us to remain a member of the EU. Please allow uas to revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU"
It would be difficult for her to do, but if dshe is a patriot, and has the best interests of the British peopkle at heart, that is what she should do.

They would condemn the British people to a discredited, empoverished future as the laughing stock of the world - a once great nation who cut off our nose to spite our face, shot ourselves in the foot then tried to threaten the other 27 countries of the EU by saying "If I can't have my cake and eat it , I will jump off a cliff and then you'll be sorry"

The people telling you you'll be better off and that Britain would somehow emerge stronger, these are now the people telling you that we'll survive, or it won't be the end of the world. Or there could be benefits 50 years down the line. These people told us our lives would be improved immeasurably and immediately.

I think that all those who told us that they voted Leave because they are 'risk takers' will thoroughly enjoy listening to that broadcast. After all, we are now in what could be an unprecedented situation in politics and government and, excitingly for them, we've no idea how it's all going to end.

cindersdad sadly I fear TM will take no account of this whatsoever, it's her way or the highway, for some incomprehensible reason the original vote (when we knew nothing of issues) was democratic, another would not be even though there would be so many new voters who will have to live with the consequences.
Greta what they is true a majority, albeit a small one, did vote to leave but many of us including some remainers did not fully understand the implications of leaving. Now most us understand the situation a great deal better. The consequences of Brexit will affect us to many years to come plus several million younger voters who could not vote last time can now vote and it is their future which is at stake.
