As in “j’y suis, j’y reste” (here I am and I’m not shifting”)
Likewise the “i”is sort of cross between an “i” and an “ee” sound.
Words it’s “i” will often sound more like “ah” like fin , sapin etc

The bit I'd query, MawBroon is the 'ee' sound. Trying desperately to remember if the letter 'i' is pronounced as 'i' (pin) or 'ee' in French.
