Meant to add that my 26 yr old nephew slipped at the top of station steps in London and was badly hurt. Lost teeth, broke his nose and damaged his elbow as well as general cuts and bruises. Metal and concrete are very unforgiving.

Whatever happened he sustained some nasty injuries poor chap! If he was knocked out he may have no recall of the moments immediately before himself so will not know what happened. The teens are hardly likely to admit to causing his fall even if they did. There may have been an altercation and he may have turned away angry/distracted and tripped. Or they may have shoved past him and caused his fall. Whatever happened I do not think it was Trump related!

Clearly not entirely accidental. When Paw was still well enough to struggle to London, using two sticks, I used to go through agonies trying to walk behind as well as beside him to make sure he was not jostled - even accidentally.

His injuries, though obviously regrettable, were minor and his wife has confirmed he was on blood thinning medication which explains all the blood in the photo. He has quite a high profile in the media but it is unlikely that he was targeted deliberately.

If the protesters were planning a violent assault on someone why would they choose a retired former English diplomat?

As for the possible reasons put forward for the attack

He is English so wouldn't have spoken with an American accent, he was also travelling alone so it was unlikely he could have been overheard talking about his time in Washington.

I heard Sir Christopher Meyer talking recently on the radio about Trump's forthcoming visit to the UK, so it is possible he may have been identified by that.

I really would have thought that a lot of women would want to join it.

Perhaps the far left know things others don’t , never have trusted them, they are so aggressive

Therefore even if these criminals are members of the Labour movement they are not in any way representative of any policy or condoned action of that movement.
