Janina, please direct me to where I have stated or agreed with your above posting in this thread, because as I feel you know that is not what I have done, or the way it works.
As I have already stated many investors do not know where their investments are located. However, that is not the allegations being levelled at Jacob Rees mogg. The foregoing pertains that his investment company has placed clients funds in a Russian bank, which is subject to internationally agreed sanctions.
JRM has stated that none of his own personal money is subject to investment in that bank. However, it has been pointed out to JRM any number of times in media interviews (and on the Andrew Marr program Sunday) that he makes financial gain from the charges his company levies on investors for lodging their funds in that bank and other Russian investments. JRM has not denied that is indeed the case.
Therefore, as the internationally agreed sanctions were brought in as a result of the missile attack on an airliner over Ukraine in which all on board perished, it can be deduced that Jacob Rees-Mogg is gaining financially from that attack as the bank in particular is paying higher returns to investors because of the sanctions.
