Absolutely- the point I was trying to make - is that people are so polarized. Many Cons here state again and again that anything JC would do would send the country into economic decline and disaster - whilst totally ignoring the massive cost of bailing out the banks and now bailing out Carillion - because even if they are not given support themsleves- the GVT (us tax payers actually- and the NHS, education, etc, etc in many ways) will have to pick up the unfinished buildings and projects, the unemployment and social costs, and more. Not even talking about all the tax those huge projects should have produced for the benefit of all. Etc, etc.
The idea that Labour = Left = financial disaster- and Cons = right = financial miracle - just does not make sense any more.
It is not just the NHS which needs cross party coalition and thinking. And yes, i know- the UK is not 'other countries' - but I can't think of any EU country were politics are so polarised, and where coalition and working together - is seen has anathema and 'wrong'.
