There's nothing concrete that we can do while brexit negotiations are going on, it's against the rules of the eu.
That's why we are lining up all the soldiers around the world to be ready.
Many eu countries have been warned that they can't talk to us Re trade deals until it's all done and dusted.
Just keep in mind we import £100 mil from the eu and export 10mil to the eu.
Who needs who the most?

Annie I keep saying this but you do not want to hear. Leave won on the day. A mandate can be either democratic or irreversible, but it cannot be both - that is the democracy people before us fought for. Therefore, as we are in a democratic country, we can keep fighting for as long as we are able either to reverse the decision or to moderate it.

Leave won , the government has accepted it, Corbyn has been hoping for it for many a year , why not accept it.

I don't recall anyone on the leave side using the word, imbecile, as Cindersdad did on the 19 July.
But as durhamjen pointed out, it's not as bad as moron.

Oh Anya, you can be so blind as to believe any of the name calling went one way. There are some on both sides who wouldn't dream of doing such a thing, some on both sides who took offence at facts, and some who were awful - but it has never been one sided.

I'm afraid this thread was doomed from the outset whitewave it just doesn't seem possible for there to be a mature and respectful discussion about the pro's and cons of Brexit.

Yet again it seems the Leavers were led astray. Yes there was a small majority for leave - on the day. As far as I am aware we are still a democracy so from then on those who disagreed have the right to fight to change this. Anyway, don't listen to me - I don't want you to think that I think I am cleverer than those who voted to leave the EU. I'm not, but other people are actually more knowledgeable than both of us and I like to research what they say and found this article very interesting so wanted to share it with you.

It was never going to go well after all the awful names we were called on June 24th 2016.

I'm going to to stick my oar in now.

In the end I couldn't come down on either side. I read everything there was to read, listened to both sides of the discussion and numerous TV debates. I'm still 'undecided' (which isn't like me) because of the complexities, which I fully understand, and because there are win and no win scenarios for both Leave and Remain.

But I will say this; I'm sick and tired of the attitude of those in the Remain camp (not just on GN might I add) and their patronising, rude and aggressive attacked on those who voted to leave. This issue seems to have brought out the worst in certain people (again I'm not just talking about GN) and the way they are stamping their feet like toddlers in a tantrum and calling those who didn't vote as they did 'stupid' and 'uneducated' and 'racist' etc. is utterly disgraceful.

It's all so sad because Leave voters don't engage with you.

Perhaps gloating about winning isn't in their nature?

Perhaps they see no need to discuss a future which hasn't arrived yet, but can, for some strange reason, be predicted by Remainers?

Perhaps they don't get off on reading biased Brexit articles in the same way that Remainers do?

Perhaps they are content to see the future unfold and not try to second guess how it will be?

Perhaps they recognise pro-EU bias when they see it and have no wish to engage?

Perhaps unlike some here they have better things to do than read political articles?

Perhaps they are OK with letting our politicians get on with the process?

Perhaps they don't feel as strongly about EU politics because they are happy the UK is leaving the EU?

You must appreciate there is a group of pro EU Gransnetters who dominate the political threads. They want conflict.

Perhaps some of us watch how they operate and feel it's just not worth debating anything with them because they are blinkered?

Who knows? Lots of perhaps-es.

I suppose it's part of the sport. If we inflame them they'll come back at us, but maintain they just "want discussion" even when discussing the future is futile.

Their future remains grim, mine remains optimistic but they'll want me to tell them why I feel optimistic. It's the same all over tinterweb.

You don't get it, do you?

YOU want to draw Leave voters into your vortex of despair, so you can shout at them, wag your finger at them and impose upon them YOUR vision of life post EU. You need targets for your anger at losing and can only see a grim future. Crystal ball -itis.

YOU want us to discuss the future when neither side knows for sure what the future holds.

Leave campaigners cannot predict the future either, surprise, surprise, but remain convinced that it will be brighter outside the EU.

Oh we are aware the BBC and Guardian and any news feed with a left wing bias will be spewing out doom-laden article after article about a dreadful post Brexit UK. When you know they are loaded with a Remain bias they become irrelevant for the majority who voted Leave.

I prefer to read articles put out by Labour Leave, who highlight the way such institutions and individuals are trying to hijack the exit process.

In short, I don't want to play your game, the hatred game that sour Remainers are playing all over social media, and I feel no need to justify why I think the UK will be better off outside the EU,so flame away.

However, I don't mind highlighting your tactics.
