You are correct in one aspect I hate Brexit, it is the most damaging thing we could ever do to our country.

I watched the latter part of the programme about the fight for the Tory leadership that was repeated last night. What amazed me was the MP's who were interviewed in the none dramatized bits almost as if it was a spin off from Big Brother, laughing and joking about the backbiting and stabbing in the back that was going on, Boris Johnson was doing everything purely to become PM [I'm assuming, having missed the start of it that he was also a brexiteer for the very same reason]. These people are running our country . It was like watching 'The Thick of It' but with real, current day politicians.I may watch the whole programme on catchup; I had intended not to, being heartily sick of all the shenanigans of recent months. I don't think the British public [what with the gutter press etc]know what is truth and what is fiction these days .

The May/Davis Brexit vision requires about 8 major bills to be passed before March19.

They have to pass both HoL and HoC
But

The bill must be rejected by the HoL in 2 successive parliamentary sessions before the PM can invoke the Parliament Act to force through the HoC.

this parliament is a two year session

So in the event of a what the HoL deem to be a calamitous Brexit, will the HoL block the bill beyond the A50 cut off?

IMO I think they must see that as their duty to save the UK

Just been said that the government does not have the numbers in Parliament to leave Euratom, so they are going to have to work out how to stay in and what problems leaving the ECJ will mean.

Can we stay in Euratom and leave the ECJ? Nobody knows.
So therefore we have to work out which is most important.
