Did Corbyn not say he was bringing a gentler, kinder politics? Instead he has turned the party into a war zone , is it a case of birds of a feather etc?

Just because the opposition hurls abuse, it doesn't mean you can't improve your position or address problems through self-examination. Simply dismissing the issues brought into the public domain by senior and established MPs as tittle-tattle is not going to help. If these things are swept under the carpet, they will erode voter confidence in the party. Just my opinion.

I don 't think it's confined to the Labour Party; it's just as evident in comments about Brexit on social media and in the comments sections of newspapers. It's as though the country has been given a licence to be nasty..

And Hillary Clinton came in for a great deal of nastiness in the Presidential Election campaign, so it's not confined to the UK either.

No I think that the nastiness was as a result of outfits like Brietbart, Cambridge Analytica and the hard right stirring up visceral fear over immigrants etc. They trod in areas no other decent politician would ever have done. They opened the doors of hate and fear, and it will be hard to get the genie back into the lamp.

I don't think there's any objection to the swearing - are you sure you're OK with the shadow chancellor calling fellow MPs losers? The least objectional thing was the f*****g ! ab there is a world of difference between being separated ( but still legally married) and having an affair and living with your wife/husband and having an affair. My understanding is that JC was already separated from his wife when he had a relationship with DA.

Secondly, it was after his first marriage broke up that he had the affair with DA and thirdly, the alleged visit by DA to no 1 wife was after the end of the marriage not during- but hey ho ab as you were.
