What will be left out/watered down! Not sure how they will explain it away as it's in the manifesto. Probably say something like "Brexit and all it's complications will mean that stuff will have to be shelved"

Which report? We could be talking at cross purposes here. I can only find the Marmot report. I don't understand why you can't say which report you're talking about.
Personally I only heard the man talking this morning but here is a link to the BBC report I found which say that it is 'entirely possible' it could be linked to austerity and needs to be looked at urgently.
I expect you'd need to read the entire Marmot report to ascertain the exact wording. Journalists will put their own slant on the findings, as will GN posters.
dj will you start a thread on that? I feel as though we are missing out ( well I am) on a range of topics because they are all being thrown into this one thread.
However, this needs to be on here. The government is likely to be taken to court because they are using a copyright photo of Corbyn to criticise him about his stance on university fees without permission. Looking forward to that!
Oh crumbs Welshwife. Legatum seem to be out of the same mould as the two advisors who May allowed to out-rank elected ministers. Miriam González Durántez certainly has a point although I would want more that just business to be involved.
"The institute has established a special commission on trade that consists of more than 20 people with different “trade” backgrounds. It is run by a British American director. The Legatum member who has just been nominated the UK’s new chief trade negotiation adviser is a New Zealander. The funding of the institute comes from a foundation that is part of a Dubai-based private investment group. So much for the UK “taking back control”.
Unlike thinktanks like the Center for European Reform which knows more about the EU than the whole cabinet put together, the common characteristic of most of the Legatum trade commission seems to be not having worked at any time within the EU or even directly with it. I have negotiated myself for the EU on many occasions on trade, and I have seen how shocked negotiators from other countries become when they realise how difficult it is to negotiate with 27 countries – with their own institutions and legal system – at the same time. "
Watching the government - or rather T May - on PMQs I just wonder if they realise that people just switch their sound off when, as she has just done, they fail to answer to their issues and just try and attack the other side.
I thought JC put this question well. "Does the Prime Minister not realise that her talk of a strong economy doesn't remotely match the reality that millions of people face with low wages and poverty at home" May doesn't realise and that is the problem. I am sure too that a large tranche of poor pensioners are fed up with being told how rich pensioners have got over the last years. All she could come out with was what Labour's policy might do but people can make up their own minds about that. She really doesn't get it and doesn't give any hope that she ever will.
Not sure about Ken Clarkes question to her. I did wonder if the only way he was allowed to take a swipe at brexit was to take a swipe at the Labour Party at the same time [although it was only the latter comment that was picked up by the PM].
I actually shouted when she said that about work being the way out of poverty. Really made my grandson jump. I just called her a stupid woman - I don't swear, if I can help it! "Doesn't she realise....? Wasn't she listening.....?"
Poor lad.
Why is she always so proud of taking millions out of paying tax? All it means is that those millions don't earn enough to pay tax, i.e., less than £11,500.
