I agree daphnedill but I suspect it's mostly the politically engaged who watch these debates, and they won't decide the election result. Many voters may not even be aware that the PM couldn't be arsed didn't turn up to debate tonight.

I wonder what the viewing figures will be, anything political only gets a tiny audience of the population.

Farron usually speaks well and is a competent TV performer. He's a not a posh southerner, so I think your criticisms of his language are misplaced.

Reminds me of the Clegg hysteria, coalition followed by end of lib Dems , history repeats and repeats, there is always a loser in a coalition

I also have respect for Tim Farron. Unfortunately (even as a LD member), I think their campaign has been poor and there's a strong possibility that both Farron and Clegg will lose their seats. It will be a huge shame, because I think both care about their country and have good ideas, but can't drag the popularvite to their view.

Both Farron and Clegg have a great amount to contribute on a national level.

Aroline Lucas and Andrew Robertson always speak well.I just don't agree with what they are saying.

What did surprise me was how badly Farron speaks,compared to the others his sentences and vocabulary were all over the place, not impressive.

Caroline Lucas is a one off. I don't agree with everything she says, but she's one of the few "statespeople" we have in this country.

Hopefully, when her days as an MP are over, she will be given a place in the House of Lords. For once, I think her position would be justified.

May has no interpersonal skills. She can't relate to her voters and the rumour is that the Conservative Party doesn't like her much either. The knife sharpeners will be huddling and deciding on their next move.

Even the media is coming round to the idea that Corbyn is more personable and genuine.

It debunked the "coalition of chaos" mantra. Rudd was appalling. She came across as a bully, who shows utter contempt for the people of this country.

I don't agree with everything the other parties are advocating, but they showed core values, with which I agree and would be capable of forming a progressive coalition.

A few weeks ago, I had little time for Corbyn, but he has challenged my thinking and risen in my estimation.

Varian, did you watch Damien Green just lose votes in Cambridge? He said that the reason May wasn't there was because she was out meeting real people..

I thought they would be able to support one another if there was a hung parliament on many issues Varian.

Amber Rudd kept using the stupid slogan "coalition of chaos" yet what we saw was a considerable degree of agreement between five of the speakers in the debate. I preferred all of them to the threadbare coalition of the Tories and UKIP
