I am deeply worried about giving Teresa May and many of her RW extremists a blank cheque to do what ever they want over the next five years. I am not assured at present that we can trust her and the extreme dogma of many of her MP's. We have no guarantee she will be in office for the full term, look what happened to Maggie.
Her unwillingness to inform the Country what Brexit will mean if she gets her on way with the EU and she is not even prepared to debate her election policies on TV for us all to hear and give our approval,or dissent is worrying. Forget about Corbyn that is a red herring excuse given to protect her from facing the camera's and the Nations scrutiny.
Her term in office at the Home Office has not been the brightest for any leading conservative minister, nor as her ability been questioned to the full to be able to lead our nation through the trouble waters likely to be ahead after Brexit, her ability is still an important unknown factor.
No, I cannot fully put my trust in her at present, I need to have far greater assurances far better than the rude way she behaved at the dispatch box and at the rostrum outside number 10 last week.
We need to be quite clear the election is NOT on Brexit it is on policies for healing and improving the quality of life of the nation over the next five years. I want a bright future for my grandchildren, I am not sure that Teresa May knows how to achieve that with her political dogma, or that I can presently 100% trust her without her being willing to debate her policies in front of the Nation. She is possibly more worried about Nicola Sturgeon than Jeremy Corbyn.. A landslide victory is likely to send the wrong messages to her backbenchers for more draconian policies and I do not believe that is what the nation needs for our grandchildrens future. I am therefore coming round to voting Lib Dem.

No one, surely, will be surprised at the current Conservative Party sweeping the board in the election Niggly. Those who argue against this far right party, currently hiding behind the skirts of May just want it to be as small as possible - that is not an unreasonable aim. Only the foolish would think that most anti-May voters expect her not to win.
Once she is in power this slight move into Social Democratic territory will be squashed with perhaps the odd, cost free bit of virtue waving getting by. The Tories are owned and run by the mega-rich and they have never cared for the workers, other than as cannon fodder for their businesses or for war, and they are not about to begin to do so now. This was completely clear to all those who lived as adults through the war and voted Labour in their swathes after it. I will have absolutely no sympathy for anyone on here who, having voted Tory, finds their lives, there children's lives and their grandchildren's lives are much worse and the rich continue to get much, much richer.

May is a mask. There will be a large number of more right-wing (the majority of the party) and extreme right-wing Tories who are gritting their teeth at what she is announcing but know that the one thing they want is to win with as large a majority as possible and that, by denying their nature for the period of the election that is what they will do.
Those who are against May can see that this denial of their nature will win for them too. They want to make sure that win will do as little damage as possible.
Trust as in her keeping her word! Well good luck with that as her record is grim to date.

Calling Mrs May derogatory names based on her surname is frankly boring,childish completely without any purpose and not worth commenting on or rising to. I also feel that this will be the most left wing conservative manifesto for many a long year, and that pleases me too. Mrs May has the undivided support of both me and my family.

I am not of the 'Labour' persuasion Ana and I wasn't ranting, I just asked a question. I am extremely anti the Conservatives in their present guise as I have made clear. It isn't rocket science and you don't require a very high education to understand that just because you oppose one party does not automatically mean you support the party their followers oppose.

You're right roses, it wouldn't matter what Jane or anyone not of the Labour persuasion said - they can rant on to their hearts' content about 'Maybot' (whaaat?) but we're supposed to explain ourselves down to the last detail if we dare to mildly support or defend her.
I voted for Brexit but am pleased that EU workers rights are protected, just as I hope all from the UK abroad will be protected in due course.
I think this Conservative manifesto will be the most 'left' in a long time, and that pleases me too ( and I suspect a lot of voters.)
