As I recall it, this was Mrs Thatcher's line but she was apparently persuaded to scrap the reference in her speech to miners being the "enemy within".
Well said Eloethan. I am shocked and surprised by your statement anniebach. I am, by now, fully aware of your view of the Labour Party but I had no idea you agreed with Thatcher's analysis of the miners strike. As someone from a mining area, to another from a mining area, I thought we shared some views in common. I was clearly wrong.
