As an arch REMOANER I for one (of many) will not simply roll over and say that is that. As things progress at the very least parliament must ensure that the country does not Brexit in a bad way because of "The Will of the People". So many lies were told by both side at the time of referendum that when the full facts come to light a re-think should be considered.
I have yet to hear a sound reason for voting LEAVE. Of course the EU is far from perfect but we are better trying to change it from within than sniping from outside. A general election or second referendum before the point of absolute no return.
I happen to be visiting Brussels on an educational trip after Easter so until then I will put up and shut up unless really provoked.
That's odd because Scotland has been told that if it leaves the UK it will still be liable for a share of the UK's debt. Debt that Scottish MPs have had very little say in building up.
people like you that cannot accept living in a democratic society
People are concerned at the prospect of living in a UK which has become a completely undemocratic one party state with a leader who has no interest in Parliamentary democracy.
Which doesn't mean they should go elsewhere; they are perfectly entitled to stay and fight for a principle established over hundreds of years.
A one party state which kicks people out for not agreeing with them is absolutely not democratic.
I pride myself as being part of a very fair nation, we want out of a club full of power hungry greedy dictators. I've never heard of any club wanting members to keep paying once left or paying a fee to leave, have you? More and more the dictators of the EU are showing their true colours, if the likes of jen et al cannot see this then maybe a move to Brussels or yes, even Scotland could be answer for her.
You knew exactly what I meant jen ("May" I call you jen?) Stupid or not, people like you that cannot accept living in a democratic society may (oh dear I've said it again) like to think about being somewhere more in line with your views.
That's stupid, saaki. I can still be on GN, no matter where I move to. Have you not noticed how many on here live in France and Germany? Have you ever thought of going away?
The EU parliament has talked several times about the position of UK citizens in the EU and also those who wish to remain and still live in the UK - the 48% . They are often saying how Europe must not forget the 48% - something never mentioned in HoP!!! If they come up with a viable way for UK citizens to also have European Citizenship It will be for any UK citizen who wishes to retain their European rights. Amongst the agreement they wish to be sorted prior to Amy deals is that all citizens from whatever current EU state will continue with the same rights of healthcare wherever they live as they have now - ie. UK citizens in EU countries and Eu citizens in the UK.
You obviously did not read the link, roses. The EU says about both UK citizens in the EU and EU citizens in the UK is a priority.Didn't realise you needed to be spoonfed that much. "The status of EU citizens here and abroad" includes both groups. The UK is still a member of the EU.
No she didn't she refused to give EU citizens in the UK any rights so the EU said it would not discuss until its citizens were protected. Something I think is completely acceptable.
