I'm an Anti-Brexit poster and always have been. I also post on Buzz50 as "Merseymog" where the majority seem to be Pro-Brexit. On Gransnet opinions are much more balanced and open minded. We only have to look at the way the currency and prices have gone since last June to know that the effect of Brexit will not be good.
Article 50 has never been invoked before and once triggered it is impossible to stop, as defined now, and the EU calls all the shots. Both the Commission and the UK Government are reluctant to compromise which will make finding a happy outcome difficult.
The referendum vote was very much in the heat of the moment when most of the electorate did not understand the implications. I feel that if another referendum were to take place now the result could be well be reversed, that is why parliament must have a real say and not let the Hard Line Brexiteers have it their own way.
